قدم نادي نيوم شكره لنجمه السنغالي مباي دياني بعد انتهاء عقده مع فريق كرة القدم الأول الذي بدأ في يوليو 2024 وساهم من خلاله مباي في تحقيق لقب دوري يلو للدرجة الأولى وتأهل نيوم لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين للمرة الأولى في تاريخه.
وكتب النادي عبر حسابه في موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «X»: «شكراً مباي دياني على جهودك وما قدمته في الفترة الماضية، نتمنى لك التوفيق في ما هو قادم».
وكان مباي دياني قد انتقل لنيوم في يوليو 2024 قادماً من القادسية وشارك مع نيوم خلال الموسم الماضي في 22 مباراة في دوري يلو للدرجة الأولى وساهم في تحقيق لقبها بعد أن أحرز 14 هدفاً، وقدم 5 تمريرات حاسمة وساهم دياني مع زملائه في نيوم لتأهله لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين للمرة الأولى في تاريخه.
وكان نيوم قد أبرم عدة صفقات مهمة استعداداً للمشاركة التاريخية الأولى في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، إذ تعاقد مع المدرب الفرنسي كريستوف غالتييه ومع اللاعبين أمادو كوني، وألكسندر لاكازيت، ومارسين بولكا، واللاعب المحلي فارس عابدي القادم من الفيحاء.

The Neom Club expressed its gratitude to its Senegalese star Mbaye Diagne after the end of his contract with the first football team, which began in July 2024. Mbaye Diagne had joined Neom in July 2024 from Al-Qadisiyah and participated with Neom during the last season in 22 matches in the Yelo League, contributing to its title by scoring 14 goals, providing 5 assists, and helping his teammates in Neom qualify for the Roshan Saudi Professional League for the first time in its history.
Neom had made several important signings in preparation for its historic first participation in the Roshan Saudi Professional League, including hiring French coach Christophe Galtier and signing players Amadou Koné, Alexandre Lacazette, Marcin Bułka, and local player Fares Abdi coming from Al-Fayha.
