أعلن رئيس رابطة الدوري الإيطالي لكرة القدم إيتسيو سيمونيلي أن كأس السوبر الإيطالي ستقام للمرة الرابعة في المملكة العربية السعودية، ولكن في ديسمبر بدلاً من يناير.
وقال سيمونيلي عقب اجتماع الجمعية العمومية للرابطة «مواعيد كأس السوبر هي 18 و19 ديسمبر لمباراتَي نصف النهائي، و22 منه للمباراة النهائية»، وفقاً لوكالة الأنباء الألمانية.
وأضاف: لا نعرف حتى الآن مكان إقامة هذه المباريات، هل في الرياض أم جدة، القرار يعود إلى السعوديين، أميل أكثر إلى جدة، لكن ليست لدينا إمكانية الاختيار.

The President of the Italian Football League, Itzio Simonelli, announced that the Italian Super Cup will be held for the fourth time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but in December instead of January.
Simonelli said after the league's general assembly meeting, "The dates for the Super Cup are December 18 and 19 for the semi-final matches, and December 22 for the final match," according to the German news agency.
He added: "We do not yet know the location of these matches, whether in Riyadh or Jeddah; the decision is up to the Saudis. I lean more towards Jeddah, but we do not have the option to choose."
