أكد المدير الفني لفريق مانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي.. الإسباني بيب غوارديولا، أن مواجهة نادي الهلال السعودي في دور الـ16 من بطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2025 تمثل اختبارًا كبيرًا أمام فريق منظم ويمتلك عناصر فنية متميزة، مشيرًا إلى أن المباراة تتطلب تركيزًا عاليًا وجدية كاملة.
وقال غوارديولا في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عُقد قبل قليل في مدينة أورلاندو الأمريكية: «الهلال فريق قوي، وأظهر قدرات عالية في مباراته أمام ريال مدريد، إذ لديهم لاعبون مميزون مثل سافيتش وكانسيلو وروبن نيفيز، ويلعبون بأسلوب منظم تحت قيادة مدرب رائع هو سيموني إنزاغي».
وأضاف: «نعلم أن الهلال يفتقد قائده سالم الدوسري، وهو لاعب يمنحهم السرعة والقوة، لكن الفريق لا يزال يحتفظ بجودة كبيرة، وعلينا أن نكون في أعلى مستويات التركيز، وإذا دخلنا المباراة ونحن نعتقد أنها ستكون سهلة، فإننا سنعاني».
وشدد غوارديولا على أهمية احترام الخصم والاستعداد الجاد، قائلًا: «الهلال يمتلك هوية واضحة، سواء لعب بثلاثة مدافعين أو أربعة، فهم منظمون ويعرفون كيف يخلقون المساحات، ويجب أن نكون حذرين من انطلاقاتهم».
