كتب لاعب الهلال سالم الدوسري (التورنيدو) اسمه في التاريخ وأصبح الهداف العربي الأول في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية بمسماها القديم والجديد، وذلك بعد تسجيله الهدف الخامس له في بطولة كأس العالم أمام فريق باتشوكا المكسيكي ضمن الجولة الأخيرة من دور المجموعات، كما أصبح الأكثر مساهمة في الأهداف بتاريخ البطولة، بعدما رفع رصيده إلى 7 مساهمات مباشرة، بواقع 5 أهداف وتمريرتين حاسمتين.
وتجاوز الثنائي المصري لفريق الأهلي محمد أبوتريكة وحسين الشحات صاحبي الـ 4 أهداف.
ومن اللافت أيضاً أن سالم الدوسري يعد اللاعب العربي الوحيد الذي سجل أكبر عدد من الأهداف في بطولتين مختلفتين، هما كأس العالم للمنتخبات (3 أهداف) وكأس العالم للأندية (5 أهداف).
يذكر أن التورنيدو بعد تسجيله هذا الهدف عادل رقم اللاعب الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي، ضمن قائمة اللاعبين الأكثر تسجيلًا في أكبر عدد من نسخ كأس العالم للأندية عبر تاريخ البطولة.

The Al-Hilal player Salem Al-Dosari (the Tornado) has etched his name in history and became the first Arab top scorer in the FIFA Club World Cup, both in its old and new formats, after scoring his fifth goal in the World Cup against the Mexican team Pachuca in the final round of the group stage. He also became the player with the most goal contributions in the tournament's history, raising his tally to 7 direct contributions, consisting of 5 goals and 2 assists.
The Egyptian duo from Al-Ahly, Mohamed Aboutrika and Hussein El Shahat, who each have 4 goals, have been surpassed.
It is also noteworthy that Salem Al-Dosari is the only Arab player to have scored the highest number of goals in two different tournaments, namely the World Cup for national teams (3 goals) and the Club World Cup (5 goals).
