وحقق مونتيري فوزًا كاسحًا (4 - 0) على أوراوا ريد دياموندز الياباني في الجولة الثالثة بالمجموعة الخامسة من مرحلة المجموعات للمسابقة العالمية.
وافتتح نيلسون ديوسا التسجيل لمصلحة مونتيري في الدقيقة (30)، بينما أضاف زميلاه جيرمان بيرتيرامي وخيسوس كورونا الهدفين الثاني والثالث للفريق المكسيكي في الدقيقتين (34) و(39) على الترتيب.
واختتم جيرمان بيرتيرامي مهرجان أهداف مونتيري بتسجيله الهدف الرابع في الدقيقة السابعة من الوقت المحتسب بدلًا من الضائع.
وارتفع رصيد مونتيري إلى (5) نقاط، ليحتل المركز الثاني في ترتيب المجموعة، بفارق نقطتين خلف إنتر ميلان الإيطالي المتصدر، بينما تفوق بفارق نقطة على ريفر بليت الأرجنتيني، صاحب المركز الثالث، وجاء أوراوا في مؤخرة الترتيب بلا رصيد من النقاط.

The Mexican team Monterrey has qualified for the Round of 16 in the FIFA Club World Cup currently taking place in the United States.
Monterrey achieved a resounding victory (4 - 0) over Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds in the third round of Group E in the group stage of the global competition.
Nelson Diuza opened the scoring for Monterrey in the 30th minute, while his teammates German Berterame and Jesus Corona added the second and third goals for the Mexican team in the 34th and 39th minutes, respectively.
German Berterame capped off Monterrey's goal fest by scoring the fourth goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
Monterrey's points tally rose to (5), placing them second in the group standings, two points behind the Italian leader Inter Milan, while they surpassed Argentine River Plate, who are in third place by one point, and Urawa came last in the standings with no points.
