خسر المنتخب السعودي لكرة اليد تحت 21 عامًا أولى مبارياته في بطولة العالم أمام نظيره المصري بنتيجة 30-35، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما مساء اليوم على صالة «ليجيونوف» في بولندا، ضمن منافسات الجولة الأولى من المجموعة الثامنة في النسخة الـ 23 من بطولة العالم، المقامة خلال الفترة من 18 حتى 29 يونيو 2025، وانتهى الشوط الأول بتقدم المنتخب المصري بنتيجة 19-15، قبل أن يحسم اللقاء لصالحه في الشوط الثاني، رغم المحاولات المتكررة من «أخضر الشباب» لتقليص الفارق والعودة في النتيجة.
وتضم مجموعة المنتخب السعودي إلى جانبه منتخبات مصر، إسبانيا، والبحرين، حيث يخوض ثاني مواجهاته أمام المنتخب الإسباني غداً، على أن يختتم مبارياته في دور المجموعات بلقاء المنتخب البحريني يوم السبت القادم.
وتُعد هذه المشاركة هي الخامسة للمنتخب السعودي في تاريخ بطولات كأس العالم للشباب، ويأمل من خلالها تحقيق نتائج مميزة تواكب تطور كرة اليد السعودية وتلبي طموحات جماهيرها.

The Saudi national handball team under 21 lost its first match in the World Championship against its Egyptian counterpart with a score of 30-35, in a match held this evening at the "Legionov" hall in Poland, as part of the first round of Group 8 in the 23rd edition of the World Championship, which is taking place from June 18 to 29, 2025. The first half ended with the Egyptian team leading 19-15, before securing the match in the second half, despite repeated attempts from the "Green Youth" to narrow the gap and come back in the score.
The Saudi team's group also includes the teams of Egypt, Spain, and Bahrain, with their second match against the Spanish team tomorrow, and they will conclude their group stage matches with a game against the Bahraini team next Saturday.
This participation marks the fifth for the Saudi team in the history of the Youth World Cup, and they hope to achieve distinguished results that reflect the development of Saudi handball and meet the aspirations of their fans.
