استضاف سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى جمهورية بولندا، سعد بن صالح الصالح، بعثة المنتخب السعودي للشباب لكرة اليد، وذلك في مأدبة غداء أُقيمت في مقر السفارة السعودية بالعاصمة وارسو، تكريما لأفراد البعثة المشاركة في بطولة كأس العالم تحت 21 عاما، التي تستضيفها بولندا خلال يونيو الجاري.
وجاءت الزيارة بحضور رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة اليد، حسن بن نصر هلال، وعدد من مسؤولي الاتحاد والجهازين الفني والإداري للمنتخب، إلى جانب لاعبي الفريق.
وأعرب السفير الصالح عن فخره واعتزازه بمشاركة المنتخب في هذا المحفل العالمي، مؤكدا دعم القيادة الحكيمة للرياضة والرياضيين، وتمنياته للمنتخب بتحقيق نتائج مشرّفة تعكس تطور كرة اليد السعودية على الساحة الدولية.
يُذكر أن المنتخب السعودي للشباب يخوض منافسات المجموعة الرابعة في البطولة، حيث يلتقي مصر اليوم (الأربعاء) 18 يونيو، ثم يواجه إسبانيا يوم الخميس 19 يونيو، ويختتم مبارياته في الدور الأول بمواجهة البحرين يوم السبت 21 يونيو.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Poland, Saad bin Saleh Al-Saleh, hosted the Saudi youth handball national team delegation at a luncheon held at the Saudi embassy in the capital, Warsaw, in honor of the delegation members participating in the Under-21 World Cup, which is being hosted by Poland this June.
The visit was attended by the President of the Saudi Handball Federation, Hassan bin Nasr Hilal, along with several officials from the federation and the technical and administrative staff of the team, in addition to the players.
Ambassador Al-Saleh expressed his pride and appreciation for the team's participation in this global event, affirming the wise leadership's support for sports and athletes, and wishing the team success in achieving honorable results that reflect the development of Saudi handball on the international stage.
It is worth noting that the Saudi youth team is competing in Group D of the tournament, where they face Egypt today (Wednesday, June 18), then take on Spain on Thursday, June 19, and conclude their first-round matches against Bahrain on Saturday, June 21.
