احتفى الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم بمبادرة اليوم العالمي للبراعم في نسختها الثانية، التي أقيمت تحت إشراف الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم.
ويأتي إشراف «الآسيوي» على هذه المبادرة ضمن خطط تنفيذ العديد من المبادرات الرياضية والاجتماعية، لإيجاد بيئة كروية أكثر أماناً وملاءمة، إضافة إلى الدعوة لحماية الأطفال الذين هم «أبطال» هذه القضية، وغيرها من المبادرات التي من شأنها خلق وتجسيد الشعور بالمسؤولية بين الشعوب.
وتتزامن مبادرة اليوم العالمي للبراعم مع الأسبوع العالمي FIFA لكرة القدم الذي يقام خلال الفترة من 21 إلى 25 مايو من كل عام احتفالاً بذكرى يوم تأسيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم FIFA، ودورة الألعاب الأولمبية في باريس.
وشهدت مراكز التدريب الإقليمية التابعة للاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم والأندية الرياضية والأكاديميات إقامة العديد من الفعاليات الرياضية والمبادرات احتفاءً بهذا اليوم، وسط أجواء إيجابية ومشاركة كبيرة من قبل الرياضيين المنتمين لهذه المراكز من الجنسين في مختلف الفئات العُمرية.
يذكر أن النسخة الأولى من مبادرة اليوم العالمي للبراعم أقيمت في 4 مراكز رياضية كانت في الرياض، وجدة، والدمام، والدوادمي، فيما أقيمت النسخة الثانية في 23 مركزاً إقليمياً تتبع 13 من مناطق ومدن المملكة، ضمن جهود الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم لنشر هذه المبادرات الرياضية والاجتماعية في جميع المناطق لمختلف الفئات والأعمار.

The Saudi Football Federation celebrated the second edition of the World Day for Budding Athletes initiative, which was held under the supervision of the Asian Football Confederation.
The supervision by the "Asian" body of this initiative is part of plans to implement various sports and social initiatives aimed at creating a safer and more suitable football environment, in addition to advocating for the protection of children who are the "champions" of this cause, along with other initiatives that aim to foster and embody a sense of responsibility among people.
The World Day for Budding Athletes coincides with the FIFA Global Football Week, which takes place from May 21 to 25 each year in celebration of the anniversary of the founding of FIFA and the Olympic Games in Paris.
Regional training centers affiliated with the Saudi Football Federation, as well as sports clubs and academies, hosted numerous sports events and initiatives in celebration of this day, amidst a positive atmosphere and significant participation from athletes belonging to these centers of both genders across various age groups.
It is worth mentioning that the first edition of the World Day for Budding Athletes was held in 4 sports centers located in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Al-Dawadimi, while the second edition took place in 23 regional centers across 13 regions and cities of the Kingdom, as part of the Saudi Football Federation's efforts to promote these sports and social initiatives in all areas for various age groups.
