The technical stability imposes its presence before the start of the "Gulf 27" competitions, as the periods of leadership of the technical staff for the eight national teams revealed that five coaches have continued in their roles for more than a year, accounting for 62.5%, compared to three coaches who were appointed during the current year.
The Algerian coach of the Yemeni national team, Nour El-Din Weld Ali, tops the list of the most consistent coaches, having taken over the role on January 27, 2024, nearing 32 months at the helm of the technical staff by the start of the tournament. The Croatian coach of the Bahraini national team, Dragan Talajic, comes in second, having started his mission on February 20 of the same year, with a tenure exceeding 31 months.
Talajic's presence is not only linked to technical stability, as he enters "Gulf 27" holding the title from the previous edition, having led Bahrain to victory in "Gulf 26," making him the only coach among the eight technical staffs who maintained his position after leading his national team to the previous title.
The Spanish coach of Qatar, Julen Lopetegui, ranks third in terms of continuity, having taken over the role on May 1, 2025, followed by the Australian coach of Iraq, Graham Arnold, who was appointed as the coach of the Lions of Mesopotamia on the 10th of the same month, and then the Portuguese coach of the Kuwaiti national team, Helio Sousa, who began his mission with "the Blue" on July 31, 2025.
Thus, five coaches enter the "Gulf 27" competitions with over 12 months of experience working with their teams, which gives them greater knowledge of the players' capabilities, group details, and their technical options. This knowledge gains special importance in a short-duration tournament, where small details and quick decision-making can be influential factors in the course of the competitions.
On the other hand, the teams that have undergone technical changes during the current year enter the tournament in a new phase, amidst attempts to solidify technical ideas and build harmony in a shorter time frame, adding another technical dimension to the anticipated competition in "Gulf 27".
