The national representative (Al-Ittihad) snatched a valuable point from its host Al-Shamal in a 1-1 draw during the match held at Al-Bayt Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Al-Ittihad started the match with a strong desire to take the lead, and Dion Lopy almost opened the scoring with a powerful shot, but Al-Shamal's goalkeeper Babker Sika managed to deflect the ball. Then, another shot from Ahmed Al-Ghamdi was also saved by Sika. Al-Shamal responded with a shot from their player Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan that hit the crossbar, followed by a header from Wasli Said that also hit the crossbar.
