The Al-Ittihad Club has completed the contract procedures with Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, coming from Al-Ettifaq on a free transfer, to represent the club for one sporting season until the summer of 2027. 5857
The club announced via its account on the "X" platform on Sunday evening, just before the closure of the summer transfer window, the signing of the 35-year-old player, after he passed the medical examinations in Dubai.
Wijnaldum has extensive experience in the Roshen League, having played for Al-Ettifaq between 2023 and 2026, participating in 96 matches in the professional league, during which he scored 36 goals and provided 16 assists. The signing of Wijnaldum comes in the final moments of the transfer window, as part of Al-Ittihad's efforts to strengthen the midfield, following stalled negotiations with Algerian player Anis Haj Moussa due to his club's requirement for bank guarantees.
