أكد مصدر مسؤول في النادي الأهلي لـ«عكاظ» استمرار أحمد الشنقيطي في أداء مهامه خلال الفترة القادمة وحتى شهر أكتوبر، نافياً صحة الأنباء المتداولة بشأن تقديمه استقالته على خلفية إنهاء مهمة المدير الرياضي السابق البرتغالي روي بيدرو.
وأوضح المصدر أن الشنقيطي لم يتقدم باستقالته، وأنه كان حاضراً وموجوداً في النادي خلال اليومين الماضيين، ومواصلاً متابعة الملفات الإدارية والرياضية، في ظل المرحلة التي يمر بها الفريق وإعادة ترتيب العمل بعد رحيل بيدرو.
ويأتي توضيح المصدر المسؤول بعد تداول أنباء خلال الساعات الماضية تفيد بتقديم الشنقيطي استقالته اعتراضاً على قرار إبعاد روي بيدرو، وهي الأنباء التي نفاها المصدر لـ«عكاظ»، مؤكداً استمرار الشنقيطي في مهامه حتى أكتوبر القادم.
وكان الأهلي قد أنهى ارتباطه بالبرتغالي روي بيدرو، وكلف أسامة هوساوي بمهام المدير الرياضي بصورة مؤقتة، في خطوة تأتي ضمن إعادة ترتيب منظومة كرة القدم وتهيئة الفريق للمرحلة القادمة.
