تأكد غياب قائد المنتخب السعودي سالم الدوسري عن المشاركة في كأس الخليج العربي (خليجي 27)، التي تستضيفها مدينة جدة خلال الفترة من 23 سبتمبر وحتى السادس من أكتوبر، وذلك لحاجته لبرنامج تأهيلي يمتد حتى بداية نوفمبر القادم، عقب خضوعه لعملية جراحية بوتر الرضفة للركبة اليمنى في 21 يوليو الماضي.
هذا وكشفت مصادر لـ«عكاظ» أن الثنائي هتان باهبري وصالح أبو الشامات هما المرشحان لتعويض غياب النجم سالم الدوسري من قبل مدرب المنتخب السعودي جورجيوس دونيس الذي سيعلن عن قائمة «الأخضر» في منتصف سبتمبر القادم، للانضمام للمعسكر الإعدادي بجدة، ضمن التحضيرات النهائية للمشاركة في البطولة الخليجية.
ويراقب المدرب جورجيوس دونيس ومساعدوه مباريات دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، ومواجهات دور الـ32 من مسابقة كأس الملك، ويهدف دونيس لمتابعة اللاعبين الذين ينوي استدعاءهم للمشاركة في بطولة (خليجي 27)، ويسعى دونيس لتجهيز «الأخضر» بشكل مناسب للمشاركة في كأس الخليج القادمة.
It has been confirmed that the captain of the Saudi national team, Salem Al-Dosari, will miss the participation in the Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 27), which is hosted by the city of Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, due to his need for a rehabilitation program that will last until the beginning of November, following his surgery on the patellar tendon of his right knee on July 21.
Sources revealed to "Okaz" that the duo Hattan Bahebri and Saleh Abu Shamatt are the candidates to compensate for the absence of star Salem Al-Dosari, as chosen by the Saudi national team coach Georgios Donis, who will announce the "Green" squad in mid-September to join the training camp in Jeddah, as part of the final preparations for participating in the Gulf championship.
Coach Georgios Donis and his assistants are monitoring the matches of the Roshen Saudi Pro League and the Round of 32 matches of the King's Cup. Donis aims to observe the players he intends to call up for participation in the (Gulf 27) tournament, and he seeks to prepare the "Green" appropriately for the upcoming Gulf Cup.
