أكدت نائب رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للتنس الدكتورة الجوهرة الزهراني، أن أكثر ما يثير استغراب مجلس إدارة الاتحاد أن القضية التي رفعها المجلس إلى الجهة الرقابية للنظر في مخالفات منسوبة إلى رئيس الاتحاد، انتهت إلى إجراءات بحق مجلس الإدارة بأكمله، استنادًا إلى مخالفات لم يطّلع المجلس على طبيعتها أو تفاصيلها أو الأساس النظامي الذي بُنيت عليه.
وقالت الزهراني: «المجلس سلك المسار النظامي، ورفع ما يراه مخالفات إلى اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية بصفتها الجهة الرقابية المختصة، حمايةً لاتحاد التنس وحرصًا على العدالة والشفافية، ثم فوجئ بأن الإجراءات اتجهت نحو المجلس كاملًا».
واستعرضت نائب رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للتنس تفاصيل موقف المجلس، موضحة أن مجلس الإدارة بذل خلال الفترة الماضية محاولات عدة لمعالجة الخلافات مع رئيس الاتحاد، والوصول إلى حلول مؤسسية تحفظ استقرار العمل داخل الاتحاد، وتضمن استمرار خدمة مجتمع اللعبة من لاعبين ولاعبات ومدربين وحكام وأندية.
وأضافت أن المجلس فوجئ بالدعوة إلى جمعية عمومية غير عادية خلال 24 ساعة، دون إبلاغ مجلس الإدارة أو تمكينه من الاطلاع على التقرير المطروح للنقاش أو نتائج التحقيقات التي بُنيت عليها الإجراءات، وهو ما أثار تساؤلات المجلس حول الأساس النظامي لهذه الخطوات.
وأشارت الزهراني إلى أن الإجراءات المتخذة من اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية تحتاج إلى إيضاح كامل أمام المجلس، من حيث مسارها ومبرراتها وما استندت إليه، بما يكفل مبادئ العدالة الإجرائية والشفافية وحق الأطراف في الاطلاع والرد.
وشددت على أن هدف مجلس الإدارة كان حماية الاتحاد وموارده، وخدمة الأندية ومنسوبي اللعبة، وتهيئة بيئة رياضية صحية قائمة على الحوكمة والشفافية والالتزام بالأنظمة، بما يسهم في تطوير رياضة التنس وتحقيق تطلعات الجميع.
واختتمت نائب رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للتنس الدكتورة الجوهرة الزهراني بتقديم الشكر والتقدير إلى وزير الرياضة على دعمه المستمر للقطاع الرياضي وحرصه على ترسيخ مبادئ الحوكمة والشفافية والعدالة المؤسسية، كما قدمت الشكر لمساعد وزير الرياضة أضواء العريفي على اهتمامها وتجاوبها ودعمها لاتحاد التنس، مؤكدة التزام المجلس بالأنظمة واللوائح واحترام الجهات المختصة، وتطلعه إلى إيضاح جميع الإجراءات بما يعزز الثقة ويحفظ مصلحة اتحاد التنس ومستقبل اللعبة.
The Vice President of the Saudi Tennis Federation, Dr. Al-Jawhara Al-Zahrani, confirmed that what most surprises the Federation's Board of Directors is that the case raised by the board to the regulatory authority regarding violations attributed to the President of the Federation ended with actions against the entire board, based on violations that the board had not been informed about in terms of their nature, details, or the legal basis on which they were built.
Dr. Al-Zahrani said: "The board followed the legal path and raised what it deemed violations to the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee as the competent regulatory authority, in order to protect the Tennis Federation and ensure fairness and transparency. Then, it was surprised that the actions were directed towards the entire board."
She reviewed the details of the board's position, explaining that the board had made several attempts during the past period to resolve the disputes with the President of the Federation and to reach institutional solutions that preserve the stability of work within the federation and ensure the continued service of the game's community, including players, coaches, referees, and clubs.
She added that the board was surprised by the call for an extraordinary general assembly within 24 hours, without informing the board or allowing it to review the report presented for discussion or the results of the investigations that the actions were based on, which raised questions from the board regarding the legal basis for these steps.
Dr. Al-Zahrani pointed out that the actions taken by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee need to be fully clarified before the board, in terms of their course, justifications, and what they were based on, in a manner that ensures the principles of procedural justice, transparency, and the right of the parties to be informed and respond.
She emphasized that the board's goal was to protect the federation and its resources, serve the clubs and the game's affiliates, and create a healthy sports environment based on governance, transparency, and adherence to regulations, which contributes to the development of tennis and the realization of everyone's aspirations.
Dr. Al-Jawhara Al-Zahrani concluded by expressing her gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of Sports for his continuous support for the sports sector and his commitment to establishing the principles of governance, transparency, and institutional justice. She also thanked the Assistant Minister of Sports, Adoa Al-Areefi, for her interest, responsiveness, and support for the Tennis Federation, affirming the board's commitment to regulations and laws and respect for the competent authorities, and looking forward to clarifying all procedures in a way that enhances trust and preserves the interests of the Tennis Federation and the future of the game.
