علمت مصادر «عكاظ» عن اقتراب إدارة النادي الأهلي من التوصل إلى اتفاق للتعاقد مع لاعب وسط الفتح نايف مسعود، خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الحالية، في إطار تدعيم صفوف الفريق الأول لكرة القدم استعداداً للموسم الرياضي الجديد.
وكانت «عكاظ» قد انفردت في 28 مايو 2026 بالكشف عن اهتمام الأهلي بضم لاعب الارتكاز، بعد دخوله ضمن الأسماء المستهدفة لتدعيم مركز المحور، قبل أن تتقدم المفاوضات خلال الفترة الماضية لتصبح الصفقة قريبة من الحسم.
وجاء اهتمام الأهلي بالتعاقد مع نايف مسعود بعد المستويات المميزة التي قدمها مع الفتح خلال الموسم الماضي، إذ فرض نفسه أحد أبرز لاعبي الارتكاز المحليين بفضل أدواره الدفاعية والتنظيمية في وسط الملعب.
وشارك اللاعب في 25 مباراة ضمن منافسات دوري روشن السعودي، منها 18 مباراة أساسياً، بإجمالي 1510 دقائق، وسجل هدفاً واحداً، إلى جانب تحقيقه أرقاماً دفاعية مميزة، أبرزها 131 استعادة للكرة و61 استعادة بضغط عكسي، فضلاً عن تفوقه في الالتحامات بنسبة تجاوزت 60%
ويأتي تحرك الأهلي ضمن خطة الإدارة لتدعيم الفريق بعناصر محلية مميزة، بما يعزز خيارات الجهاز الفني قبل انطلاق الموسم الجديد، الذي يشهد مشاركة الفريق في عدد من البطولات المحلية والقارية، وفي مقدمتها دوري روشن السعودي، وكأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وكأس السوبر السعودي، ودوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، وكأس القارات.
Sources from "Okaz" have reported that the Al-Ahli club management is close to reaching an agreement to sign Al-Fateh midfielder Naif Masoud during the current summer transfer window, as part of efforts to strengthen the first football team in preparation for the new sports season.
“Okaz” had exclusively revealed on May 28, 2026, the interest of Al-Ahli in acquiring the defensive midfielder, after he became one of the targeted names to reinforce the pivot position. Negotiations have progressed in recent times, bringing the deal close to being finalized.
The interest of Al-Ahli in signing Naif Masoud came after the impressive performances he delivered with Al-Fateh during the past season, as he established himself as one of the standout local defensive players thanks to his defensive and organizational roles in midfield.
The player participated in 25 matches in the Roshen Saudi League, including 18 matches as a starter, totaling 1510 minutes, and scored one goal, in addition to achieving remarkable defensive statistics, the most notable of which are 131 ball recoveries and 61 recoveries under pressure, as well as excelling in duels with a success rate exceeding 60%.
The move by Al-Ahli is part of the management's plan to strengthen the team with outstanding local players, enhancing the options for the coaching staff ahead of the new season, which will see the team participating in several local and continental tournaments, including the Roshen Saudi League, the King’s Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, the AFC Champions League, and the Confederations Cup.
