أكمل منتخب كولومبيا عقد المنتخبات المتأهلة إلى دور الـ16 من بطولة كأس العالم 2026 لكرة القدم، بفوزه على نظيره الغاني بهدف دون رد، في المباراة التي جمعتهما على استاد كانساس سيتي ضمن منافسات دور الـ32.
وسجل جون أرياس هدف المباراة الوحيد في الدقيقة (14) بعد استغلاله تمريرة عرضية متقنة داخل منطقة الجزاء وأسكن الكرة الشباك، ليمنح منتخب بلاده هدفا مبكرا حافظ عليه حتى صافرة النهاية.
وفرض المنتخب الكولومبي أفضليته خلال الشوط الأول من حيث الاستحواذ وصناعة الفرص، في حين تحسن أداء المنتخب الغاني في الشوط الثاني وضغط بحثا عن هدف التعادل، إلا أن الدفاع الكولومبي وحارس المرمى كاميلو فارغاس نجحا في الحفاظ على نظافة الشباك، رغم المحاولات المتكررة من إينياكي ويليامز وأنطوان سيمينيو، كما تألق الحارس الغاني لورانس أتي زيغي في التصدي لعدة فرص أبقت النتيجة عند هدف وحيد.
وبهذا الفوز، حجز المنتخب الكولومبي آخر بطاقات التأهل إلى دور الـ16، ليكمل عقد المنتخبات المتأهلة إلى هذا الدور، فيما ودع المنتخب الغاني منافسات البطولة من دور الـ32.
وضرب المنتخب الكولومبي موعدا مع نظيره السويسري في دور القادم، في مواجهة مرتقبة ستقام يوم الثلاثاء المقبل على ملعب "هارد روك" بمدينة ميامي.
The Colombian national team completed the lineup of teams qualified for the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup by defeating their Ghanaian counterparts with a score of one goal to none, in the match held at Kansas City Stadium as part of the Round of 32.
John Arias scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute after capitalizing on a precise cross inside the penalty area, placing the ball in the net to give his team an early lead that they maintained until the final whistle.
The Colombian team imposed its superiority during the first half in terms of possession and creating chances, while the Ghanaian team improved its performance in the second half and pressed for an equalizer. However, the Colombian defense and goalkeeper Camilo Vargas succeeded in keeping a clean sheet, despite repeated attempts from Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo. The Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi also excelled in saving several chances that kept the score at just one goal.
With this victory, the Colombian team secured the last qualification spot for the Round of 16, completing the lineup of teams that advanced to this stage, while the Ghanaian team exited the tournament from the Round of 32.
The Colombian team will face the Swiss team in the next round, in a highly anticipated match scheduled for next Tuesday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
