حدّد الجهاز الإداري لمنتخب مصر موعد مغادرة بعثة الفراعنة إلى مدينة دالاس الأمريكية، استعداداً لخوض مواجهة أستراليا المرتقبة مساء يوم الجمعة القادم ضمن منافسات دور الـ32 من بطولة كأس العالم 2026.
وأكد مدير منتخب مصر إبراهيم حسن أن البعثة ستغادر يوم الأربعاء 1 يوليو متجهة إلى ولاية تكساس، عبر طائرة خاصة وفرها الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» للمنتخبات المشاركة في البطولة، وذلك بعد انتهاء مرحلة المجموعات وبدء التحضيرات للمرحلة المقبلة من مشوار المونديال.
ويواصل المنتخب المصري تدريباته في مدينة سبوكان حتى موعد الرحيل، قبل الانتقال إلى دالاس لخوض مواجهة أستراليا، المقرر إقامتها في تمام الساعة الـ9:00 مساء الجمعة المقبلة بتوقيت مكة المكرمة، ضمن منافسات الدور الثاني من كأس العالم.
وكان منتخب مصر قد حجز بطاقة التأهل إلى دور الـ32 بعدما أنهى مشواره في دور المجموعات وصيفاً للمجموعة السابعة برصيد 5 نقاط، متأخراً بفارق الأهداف فقط عن منتخب بلجيكا صاحب صدارة المجموعة.
وشهدت مشاركة الفراعنة في الدور الأول عدداً من المحطات المهمة، بعدما حافظ المنتخب على سجله دون خسارة، وحقق أول انتصار له في دور المجموعات بكأس العالم بالفوز على نيوزيلندا بنتيجة 3-1، كما ظهر الفريق بشكل هجومي أفضل بتسجيله خمسة أهداف خلال المرحلة الأولى.
واستهل منتخب مصر مشواره في البطولة بالتعادل مع بلجيكا بنتيجة 1-1، قبل تحقيق الفوز على نيوزيلندا بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف، ثم اختتم دور المجموعات بالتعادل أمام إيران بهدف لكل منتخب.
وتكتسب المشاركة الحالية أهمية خاصة بوجود مدرب وطني (حسام حسن) على رأس القيادة الفنية للمنتخب، بعدما سبق له تمثيل مصر لاعباً في كأس العالم، ليقود الفريق خلال أفضل ظهور له في دور المجموعات بالمونديال.
ويستعد الفراعنة الآن للمرحلة الإقصائية، إذ تمثّل مواجهة أستراليا اختباراً جديداً في مشوار المنتخب خلال نسخة 2026، بعد عبور مرحلة المجموعات للمرة الأولى في تاريخ مشاركاته بالمونديال.
The administrative body of the Egyptian national team has set the departure date for the Pharaohs' delegation to Dallas, USA, in preparation for the anticipated match against Australia next Friday evening as part of the Round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup.
Egypt's team manager, Ibrahim Hassan, confirmed that the delegation will leave on Wednesday, July 1, heading to Texas via a private plane provided by FIFA for the participating teams in the tournament, following the conclusion of the group stage and the start of preparations for the next phase of the World Cup journey.
The Egyptian national team continues its training in Spokane until the departure date, before moving to Dallas to face Australia, which is scheduled to take place at 9:00 PM next Friday, Mecca time, as part of the second round of the World Cup.
Egypt secured its qualification to the Round of 32 after finishing its group stage campaign as the runner-up in Group 7 with 5 points, trailing only on goal difference behind Belgium, the group leader.
The Pharaohs' participation in the first round witnessed several important milestones, as the team maintained its unbeaten record and achieved its first victory in the World Cup group stage by defeating New Zealand 3-1. The team also showed a better attacking performance by scoring five goals during the first phase.
Egypt began its tournament journey with a 1-1 draw against Belgium, followed by a victory over New Zealand with three goals to one, and concluded the group stage with a draw against Iran, with one goal for each team.
This current participation holds special significance with a national coach (Hossam Hassan) at the helm of the team's technical leadership, as he previously represented Egypt as a player in the World Cup, leading the team during its best appearance in the group stage of the tournament.
The Pharaohs are now preparing for the knockout stage, as the match against Australia represents a new test in the team's journey during the 2026 edition, after advancing past the group stage for the first time in its World Cup history.
