وفي الشوط الثاني، واصلت البرتغال تفوقها، إذ أحرز مدافع أوزبكستان عبد العلي نيماتوف هدفاً بالخطأ في مرمى منتخب بلاده عند الدقيقة 69، قبل أن يختتم رافائيل لياو مهرجان الأهداف بهدف خامس في الدقيقة 87.
وبهذه النتيجة، رفع المنتخب البرتغالي رصيده إلى 4 نقاط في صدارة المجموعة مؤقتاً، بينما بقي منتخب أوزبكستان دون نقاط في المركز الأخير، مع تبقي آماله معلقة بنتائج الجولة الأخيرة.
