انتقد مدرب منتخب إنجلترا توماس توخيل الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «FIFA» بعد مباراة منتخبه الافتتاحية أمام كرواتيا في مونديال 2026 بسبب إفساد واحدة من أكثر اللحظات خصوصية في مسيرته التدريبية، على حد تعبيره.
وقال المدرب الألماني: «أتوسل إلى الفيفا لتغيير مكان المصورين أثناء عزف النشيد، كنت أنتظر هذه اللحظة منذ فترة طويلة، وكانت مميزة للغاية بالنسبة لي، لكنني وجدت نفسي واقفاً أمام جدار من نحو 50 مصوراً على بعد نصف متر فقط». وأضاف: «لم أتمكن من رؤية لاعب واحد من فريقي أثناء النشيد، وهذا أفسد التجربة قليلاً بالنسبة لي».
يذكر أن المنتخب الإنجليزي استهل مشواره في المونديال بفوز مثير على كرواتيا بنتيجة 4-2، لكن توخيل لفت الأنظار بعد المباراة بانتقاده للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «FIFA» بسبب تمركز عشرات المصورين أمام مقاعد البدلاء أثناء عزف النشيد الوطني، وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع الـ«RT».
إذ شهدت البطولة تطبيق بروتوكول جديد من الفيفا يقضي باصطفاف اللاعبين حول دائرة منتصف الملعب أثناء عزف الأناشيد الوطنية، وهو ما جعل المصورين يتجمعون بكثافة بالقرب من المنطقة الفنية للحصول على لقطات مميزة، الأمر الذي أثار استياء توخيل.
England coach Thomas Tuchel criticized the International Football Federation "FIFA" after his team's opening match against Croatia in the 2026 World Cup for ruining one of the most special moments in his coaching career, as he put it.
The German coach said: "I beg FIFA to change the location of the photographers during the anthem. I had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and it was very special for me, but I found myself standing in front of a wall of about 50 photographers just half a meter away." He added: "I couldn't see a single player from my team during the anthem, and that spoiled the experience a bit for me."
It is worth mentioning that the England team began its World Cup journey with an exciting victory over Croatia with a score of 4-2, but Tuchel drew attention after the match by criticizing FIFA for the positioning of dozens of photographers in front of the bench during the national anthem, according to a report broadcast by the "RT" website.
The tournament witnessed the implementation of a new FIFA protocol that requires players to line up around the center circle during the national anthems, which led to photographers gathering densely near the technical area to capture special shots, a situation that displeased Tuchel.
