وكان ميسي قد سجل ثلاثية لمنتخب بلاده في مرمى الجزائر، أمس (الأربعاء)، ضمن منافسات الجولة الأولى من كأس العالم 2026، ليرفع رصيد أهدافه في المونديال إلى 16 هدفاً، ويتساوى مع الألماني ميروسلاف كلوزه في صدارة هدافي البطولة على مر التاريخ.

وقال رونالدو في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «آس» الإسبانية: «لقد حان الوقت ليتوقف العالم عن التهرب من الحقيقة ويعترف بأن ميسي هو أفضل لاعب في التاريخ».
وأضاف اللاعب السابق لريال مدريد وبرشلونة: «ميسي يواصل تقديم مستويات رائعة في كل موسم وفي كأس العالم، ومع ذلك لا تزال هناك شكوك حوله».

وعن أداء ميسي أمام الجزائر، قال رونالدو: «إنها ليلة لا تُنسى وتاريخية ستبقى خالدة في كتب التاريخ».

ولم يكن رونالدو نازاريو الوحيد الذي أشاد بميسي بعد الهاتريك، فقد أثنى زميلاه السابقان في برشلونة، تييري هنري وزلاتان إبراهيموفيتش، على أداء النجم الأرجنتيني.
وقال هنري: «ميسي ببساطة مختلف، إنه قصة أخرى تماماً»، أما زلاتان فقال: «لا أعتقد أننا سنرى ميسي آخر، لأنه لاعب استثنائي، وكأن كرة القدم لُعبت من أجله».
