أصبح قائد منتخب الأرجنتين ليونيل ميسي أول لاعب في تاريخ المونديال يسجل في مرمى 11 منتخبًا مختلفًا، إذ تفوق على الثنائي الألماني يورجن كلينسمان، وميروسلاف كلوزة، والبرازيلي رونالدو، وكل منهم سجل في شباك 10 منتخبات.
وأول لاعب على الإطلاق يشارك في 6 نسخ مختلفة من كأس العالم، وذلك عقب ظهوره مع منتخب بلاده أمام الجزائر في افتتاح مشوارهما بمونديال 2026.
ويخوض قائد الأرجنتين البطولة العالمية السادسة في مسيرته، بعدما شارك سابقا في نسخ 2006 و2010 و2014 و2018 و2022، قبل أن يسجل حضوره التاريخي في نسخة 2026 بعمر 38 عاما، ليحطم رقما غير مسبوق في تاريخ البطولة.
ولم يكتف ميسي بإنجاز المشاركة التاريخية، بل بصم على بداية مثالية عندما افتتح التسجيل للأرجنتين في الدقيقة 17 بتسديدة قوية من خارج منطقة الجزاء عجز الحارس الجزائري لوكا زيدان عن التصدي لها، مانحاً منتخب "التانغو" الأفضلية في اللقاء ضمن منافسات المجموعة العاشرة.
ورفع الهدف رصيد ميسي إلى 14 هدفا في نهائيات كأس العالم، ليواصل التقدم في قائمة الهدافين التاريخيين للبطولة، ويعزز رقمه القياسي من حيث عدد المباريات المونديالية، بعدما وصل إلى 27 مباراة في كأس العالم وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع الـ RT
ويعود ميسي إلى المونديال بعد 3 أعوام ونصف العام من قيادته الأرجنتين للتتويج بلقب كأس العالم 2022 في قطر، عندما تفوق منتخب بلاده على فرنسا بركلات الترجيح في نهائي تاريخي اعتبره كثيرون أحد أعظم المباريات في تاريخ اللعبة.
وكانت مشاركة قائد الأرجنتين في البطولة محل ترقب بعد تعافيه من إصابة عضلية تعرض لها خلال مشاركاته مع فريقه إنتر ميامي الأمريكي في مايو الماضي، إلا أنه أثبت جاهزيته قبل انطلاق البطولة بتسجيله هدفاً في المباراة الودية أمام أيسلندا.
ويأمل ميسي في قيادة الأرجنتين للاحتفاظ باللقب العالمي والتتويج بالكأس للمرة الثانية تواليا والرابعة في تاريخ المنتخب، في بطولة يرجح كثيرون أن تكون الأخيرة له على المسرح العالمي قبل إسدال الستار على مسيرة استثنائية ستظل محفورة في تاريخ كرة القدم.
