أكد مدرب المنتخب السعودي جورجيوس دونيس، أنه لا يخشى مواجهة الأوروغواي لكنه يحترمه فقط، لافتاً إلى أنه يبحث عن الانتصار خلال مواجهتهما المرتقبة على ملعب
«Miami Stadium» فجر غدٍ (الثلاثاء)، ضمن الجولة الأولى من المجموعة الثامنة في نهائيات كأس العالم 2026.
جاء ذلك خلال حديثة لوسائل الإعلام في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عُقد في ميامي وقال فيه: «نحن لا نخشى أي منتخب، ولم نأتِ إلى هنا من أجل الدفاع، سنهاجم أيضاً، فنحن لدينا فلسفة هجومية، وهدفنا الانتصار على الأوروغواي في أول مواجهة لنا»، وتابع: «نبحث عن الظهور المشرف ويجب علينا تحقيق ذلك وبصورة لافتة من أجل الاستعداد أيضاً للاستحقاقات القادمة».
وأضاف: «يجب التعامل مع معطيات المباراة من الخصم وكل شيء محيط بها وسوف ندخل بكامل تركيزنا لتحقيق النتيجة المرجوة في هذه المباراة».
The Saudi national team coach, Georgios Donis, confirmed that he is not afraid of facing Uruguay but respects them, noting that he is looking for victory in their upcoming match at
“Miami Stadium” early tomorrow (Tuesday), as part of the first round of Group H in the 2026 World Cup finals.
This came during his talk with the media at the press conference held in Miami, where he said: “We are not afraid of any team, and we did not come here to defend; we will attack as well, as we have an offensive philosophy, and our goal is to win against Uruguay in our first match.” He added: “We are looking for a commendable performance, and we must achieve that in a remarkable way to also prepare for the upcoming challenges.”
He continued: “We must deal with the match's circumstances from the opponent and everything surrounding it, and we will enter with full focus to achieve the desired result in this match.”
