على ملعب «ريازور» في إسبانيا، ضمن استعدادات المنتخبين لكأس العالم 2026، وانتهى بنتيجة 1-1، إذ تقدم الإسبان عن طريق فيران توريس عند الدقيقة 16 من زمن الشوط الأول، بعدما استلم الكرة على حدود منطقة الجزاء وراوغ مدافعي العراق، وسدد كرة قوية بيمناه ليسكنها شباك العراق.
قبل أن يدرك ميرخاس دوسكي هدف التعديل للمنتخب العراقي في الدقيقة 27 بتسديدة قوية من الجانب الأيسر من خارج منطقة الجزاء، ليخطئ حارس إسبانيا في التصدي لها.
يذكر أن المنتخب العراقي وقع في المجموعة التاسعة برفقة منتخبات «فرنسا والسنغال والنرويج»، فيما جاء المنتخب الإسباني في المجموعة الثامنة بجانب منتخبات السعودية، وأوروغواي، والرأس الأخضر.

The match ended with a score of 1-1, with Spain taking the lead through Ferran Torres in the 16th minute of the first half, after receiving the ball at the edge of the penalty area, dribbling past Iraq's defenders, and striking a powerful shot with his right foot into the net.
Before Mirkhaz Doski equalized for the Iraqi team in the 27th minute with a strong shot from the left side outside the penalty area, which the Spanish goalkeeper failed to save.
It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi national team was placed in Group 9 alongside the teams of "France, Senegal, and Norway," while the Spanish team was in Group 8 with the teams of Saudi Arabia, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.
