أنهى نادي نيوم علاقته باللاعب سلمان الفرج، الذي قضى موسمين داخل النادي منذ صيف 2024 بعد نهاية مسيرته الطويلة مع الهلال، وبث موقع نيوم الرسمي في منصة التواصل الاجتماعي «x» فيديو وكتب عبارة «قصةٌ جميلة.. وفصلٌ لن يُنسى..شكراً سلمان الفرج».
وكان الفرج وقّع عقداً لمدة موسمين ينتهي صيف هذا العام، في واحدة من أبرز صفقات دوري الدرجة الأولى آنذاك، ضمن مشروع نيوم الطامح للصعود إلى دوري روشن السعودي.
يذكر أن الفرج قضى نحو 16 عاماً مع الهلال، حقق خلالها العديد من البطولات المحلية والآسيوية، قبل انتقاله إلى نيوم، الذي نجح لاحقاً في الصعود إلى دوري روشن.
كما عاد الفرج للمشاركة مع نيوم بعد فترة غياب طويلة بسبب إصابة الرباط الصليبي، التي تعرض لها أثناء مشاركته مع المنتخب السعودي.

Al-Faraj had signed a contract for two seasons that ends this summer, in one of the most prominent deals in the first division league at the time, as part of Neom's ambitious project to rise to the Roshen Saudi League.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Faraj spent about 16 years with Al-Hilal, during which he achieved many local and Asian championships, before moving to Neom, which later succeeded in rising to the Roshen League.
Al-Faraj also returned to participate with Neom after a long absence due to an ACL injury he sustained while playing with the Saudi national team.
