وشهدت مباراة باريس سان جيرمان وبايرن ميونخ حالات تحكيمية مثيرة للجدل، بعد تقدم باريس بهدف مبكر سجله جناحه الفرنسي عثمان ديمبلي بعد مرور ثلاث دقائق فقط من انطلاق صافرة البداية.
وطالب لاعبو الفريق البافاري بعد مرور نصف ساعة من البداية، بإشهار البطاقة الصفراء الثانية في وجه البرتغالي نونو مينديش مدافع الفريق الفرنسي، نتيجة لمسه الكرة بيده، ولكن مواطنه الحكم البرتغالي جواو بينهيرو لم يستجب، وسط اعتراضات كبيرة من اللاعبين والجهاز الفني، وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع الـ«RT».
كما طالب لاعبو الفريق الألماني باحتساب ركلة جزاء بعد اصطدام الكرة بيد اللاعب البرتغالي الآخر جواو نيفيش لاعب باريس سان جيرمان، ولكن مرة أخرى لم يحتسب مواطنه الحكم جواو بينهيرو أي شيء.
