منتخب الأرجنتين يطلب مواجهة السودان ودياً.. ومدرب السودان يرفض!
The Sudanese Football Association announced in an official statement its rejection of a formal invitation received from the Argentine Football Association to play a friendly match between the two national teams at the famous stadium in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires (La Bombonera), as part of the current international break.
The statement issued by the Sudanese Association indicated that the National Teams Committee, headed by Osama Atta El-Mannan, informed Ghanaian coach Kwesi Appiah of the national team, and after a technical study, the coach decided to decline the match.
It continued, "Based on the recommendation of the technical staff, the National Teams Committee apologized for the match, while confirming the continuation of future cooperation between the Sudanese and Argentine federations to organize friendly matches in the upcoming periods."
For his part, Dr. Osama Atta El-Mannan, head of the National Teams Committee at the Sudanese Federation, stated that facing a major team like Argentina was an invaluable opportunity that would bring significant benefits to the "Shooting Stars" in all aspects, but the technical framework declined for reasons that we cannot interfere with.
He added, "Coach Kwesi Appiah has his assessments that we respect, and he knows best the circumstances of his team and players and the benefits that can be gained from the match, so his decision was to decline it."
It is worth mentioning that the Argentine national team decided to play a friendly match against the Mauritania national team instead of Sudan on March 27 of this month.
