فجّر اللاعب المصري صالح جمعة الذي سبق له الاحتراف في فريق الفيصلي، مفاجأة من العيار الثقيل، عندما أشار إلى أن نجم النصر والمنتخب السعودي سلطان الغنام، كان يضع شرطاً في عقده مع نادي الفيصلي خلال فترة احترافه فيه يعفي الغنام من خوض الحصص التدريبية أو حضور أي اجتماعات، خلال الفترة الصباحية.
وجاء حديث اللاعب صالح جمعة خلال لقاء تلفزيوني على قناة «النهار» المصرية مع النجم السابق أحمد شوبير، ونوّه صالح جمعة إلى حالة اللاعب سلطان الغنام دفاعاً عن نفسه عندما سأله المذيع عن حقيقة حصوله على مقدمات عقود مع ناديي سيراميكا والإسماعيلي ورفضه بعدها المشاركة في التدريبات الصباحية، ليذكر أن هذا الأمر موجود بين اللاعبين، مستدلاً بحالة سلطان الغنام الذي -بحسب وصفه- لا يرغب بالقيام بأي واجبات في الفترة الصباحية.
وكان سلطان الغنام قد مثل الفيصلي لمدة 3 مواسم من 2015 وحتى صيف 2018 ورافق صالح جمعة خلال النصف الأخير من موسم 2018 وهي الفترة التي تمكن خلالها الفيصلي من تحقيق إنجاز تاريخي بالوصول إلى نهائي كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين.
The Egyptian player Saleh Gomaa, who previously played for Al-Faisaly, made a heavy surprise when he indicated that the Al-Nasr and Saudi national team star Sultan Al-Ghannam had a clause in his contract with Al-Faisaly during his time there that exempted Al-Ghannam from attending training sessions or any meetings during the morning period.
Saleh Gomaa's comments came during a television interview on the Egyptian channel "Al-Nahar" with former star Ahmed Shobair. Saleh Gomaa referred to the situation of player Sultan Al-Ghannam in defense of himself when the host asked him about the truth of receiving contract advances from the clubs Ceramica and Ismaily and then refusing to participate in morning training. He mentioned that this situation exists among players, citing the case of Sultan Al-Ghannam who, according to his description, does not wish to fulfill any obligations in the morning period.
Sultan Al-Ghannam represented Al-Faisaly for 3 seasons from 2015 until the summer of 2018 and was alongside Saleh Gomaa during the latter half of the 2018 season, a period during which Al-Faisaly achieved a historic accomplishment by reaching the final of the King’s Cup.
