أصدر الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم بياناً رسميّاً بشأن أوضاع عدد من المشجعين السنغاليين الموقوفين في المغرب، مؤكّداً أنّ السلطات في دكار تتابع القضية بأقصى درجات الاهتمام وبالتنسيق مع الجهات المغربية المختصة. وأوضح الاتحاد أنّ هذه التحركات تأتي في إطار العلاقات الأخوية والتاريخية التي تجمع البلدين، مُعرباً عن ثقته بالتوصل إلى حل إيجابي قريباً.
وأشار البيان إلى أن السفارة السنغالية في الرباط تشرف على متابعة ظروف الاحتجاز، لضمان احترام الحقوق الأساسية للموقوفين وتأمين المساعدة القانونية اللازمة لهم. وكان المشجعون قد أوقفوا في 18 كانون الثاني 2026 عقب أحداث رافقت نهائي كأس أمم أفريقيا 2025 بين السنغال والمغرب، فيما تأجلت محاكمتهم عدة مرات.
وكان نهائي كأس أمم أفريقيا 2026 في المغرب والذي جمع منتخب المغرب ومنتخب السنغال وكسبته السنغال بنتيجة (1-0) بعد ضربة جزاء مثيرة لمنتخب المغرب دفعت السنغال إلى الانسحاب من الملعب، قبل استئناف اللعب بعد 15 دقيقة.

The fans were detained on January 18, 2026, following events that accompanied the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 between Senegal and Morocco, while their trial has been postponed several times.
The final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2026 in Morocco, which brought together the Moroccan national team and the Senegalese national team, was won by Senegal with a score of (1-0) after a controversial penalty for the Moroccan team that led Senegal to withdraw from the field, before play resumed after 15 minutes.
