تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، حضر أمير منطقة الرياض الأمير فيصل بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز، مساء اليوم، الحفل الختامي لمهرجان خادم الحرمين الشريفين للهجن في نسخته الثالثة، الذي أقيم بمشاركة 11 دولة.
وكان في استقباله لدى وصوله ميدان الجنادرية التاريخي لسباقات الهجن، وزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، ونائب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للهجن الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد، وعدد من مسؤولي الاتحاد.
عقب ذلك بُدئ الحفل بالسلام الملكي، ثم توج الأمير فيصل بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز الملاك الفائزين، وأقيمت أربعة أشواط على مسافة 6 كيلومترات، شاركت بها نخبة من المطايا، البالغ عددها (65 مطية)، وسط تنافسٍ كبير بين ملاك الهجن المحليين والدوليين، خُصصت فيه جوائز مالية تتجاوز قيمتها الإجمالية 75 مليون ريال، تُمنح لملاك الهجن المحلية والدولية الفائزين بأشواط السباقات المتنوعة.
وجاءت نتائج أشواط اليوم الختامي على النحو التالي: الشوط الأول «زمول ـ عام»، فازت بلقبه المطية «الغزال» بتوقيت بلغ 12:40.253 دقيقة، وتوّج المالك الإماراتي محمد المهيري بالبندق ودرع المضمر، الشوط الثاني «زمول ـ مفتوح»، فازت بلقبه المطية «نهاب» بتوقيت بلغ 12:33.278 دقيقة، وتوّجت هجن الرئاسة الإماراتية والمضمر حمدان المهيري بالبندق والدرع، الشوط الثالث «حيل ـ عام»، فازت بلقبه المطية «عالية» بتوقيت بلغ 12:27.890 دقيقة، وتوّج المالك الإماراتي أحمد الخبيلي بالسيف والكأس، والشوط الرابع «حيل ـ مفتوح»، فازت بلقبه المطية «الهابة» بتوقيت بلغ 12:17.193 دقيقة، وتوّجت هجن الشحانية القطرية بالسيف، والمضمر فاران المري بالكأس، فيما توّج المالك الإماراتي حمد العامري بـ«سيف السعودية» عقب نجاحه بجمع 196.5 نقطة، وحصل على مبلغ 3 ملايين ريال، وفي نهاية الحفل كرّم أمير الرياض رعاة المهرجان واللجان العاملة فيه.
مما يذكر أن مهرجان خادم الحرمين الشريفين للهجن يعد من أبرز الفعاليات الرياضية التراثية التي تنظمها المملكة سنوياً، ويجمع نخبة ملاك الهجن المحليين والدوليين في منافسات تجمع الأصالة والمتعة الرياضية، ويهدف إلى تعزيز حضور سباقات الهجن جزءاً من الهوية الوطنية دولياً، ودعم مسيرتها التطويرية، إضافة إلى إبراز ما تشهده المملكة من تطور في استضافة الأحداث الكبرى وفق أعلى المعايير التنظيمية.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, attended this evening the closing ceremony of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in its third edition, which was held with the participation of 11 countries.
He was received upon his arrival at the historic Janadriyah Camel Racing Field by the Minister of Sports, Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Vice Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and President of the Saudi Camel Federation, Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, along with several officials from the federation.
Following that, the ceremony began with the national anthem, after which Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz awarded the winning owners. Four races were held over a distance of 6 kilometers, featuring a selection of camels, totaling (65 camels), amidst significant competition between local and international camel owners, with cash prizes exceeding a total value of 75 million riyals awarded to the winning owners of both local and international camels in various race heats.
The results of the final day’s races were as follows: In the first heat "Zamoul - Open," the camel "Al Ghazal" won with a time of 12:40.253 minutes, and the Emirati owner Mohammed Al Mehairi was awarded the trophy and the trainer's shield. In the second heat "Zamoul - Open," the camel "Nihab" won with a time of 12:33.278 minutes, and the Emirates Presidential Camels and trainer Hamdan Al Mehairi were awarded the trophy and the shield. In the third heat "Hail - Open," the camel "Alya" won with a time of 12:27.890 minutes, and the Emirati owner Ahmed Al Khubaili was awarded the sword and the cup. In the fourth heat "Hail - Open," the camel "Al Habah" won with a time of 12:17.193 minutes, and the Qatari Al Shahaniya Camels were awarded the sword, while trainer Farhan Al Marri received the cup. Additionally, the Emirati owner Hamad Al Amri was awarded the "Sword of Saudi Arabia" after successfully accumulating 196.5 points, receiving a cash prize of 3 million riyals. At the end of the ceremony, the Governor of Riyadh honored the festival sponsors and the working committees.
It is worth mentioning that the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival is one of the most prominent traditional sports events organized annually by the Kingdom, bringing together elite local and international camel owners in competitions that combine authenticity and sports enjoyment. It aims to enhance the presence of camel racing as part of the national identity internationally and to support its developmental journey, in addition to showcasing the Kingdom's progress in hosting major events according to the highest organizational standards.
