حلم لم يكتمل
وبحسب صحيفة «موندو ديبورتيفو» الإسبانية، فقد بدأ رونالدو وجورجينا العام الجديد بخبر سعيد تمثل في اكتمال تجهيز قصر الأحلام، الذي كان من المفترض أن يصبح المقر الرئيسي للعائلة بعد اعتزال النجم البرتغالي كرة القدم، إلا أن هذا الحلم لم يكتمل، ليُتخذ قرار مفاجئ ببيع العقار.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أن رونالدو استحوذ في عام 2020 على قطعة أرض تبلغ مساحتها نحو 12 ألف متر مربع في مدينة كاسكايس، وشرع بعدها في مشروع إنشائي ضخم لبناء منزل الأحلام. وعلى مدار السنوات الماضية، واجه رونالدو وجورجينا عدة تحديات، من بينها تغييرات في الفريق الفني المشرف على البناء، إضافة إلى عقبات قانونية أجبرتهما على إعادة النظر في بعض تفاصيل التصميم، ورغم ذلك، تجاوز حجم الاستثمار كل التوقعات.
الخصوصية وراء قرار البيع
لكن تلك الصعوبات لم تكن السبب الرئيسي في قرار بيع القصر بعد اكتماله، إذ جاء عامل الخصوصية في مقدمة الأسباب، بعدما خيّبت المنطقة المحيطة بالعقار توقعات رونالدو وجورجينا، مع تزايد عدد السكان الجدد في ظل توفر مختلف وسائل الرفاهية، إلى جانب إطلالة بعض المنازل المجاورة مباشرة على القصر. ووفقاً لوسائل إعلام برتغالية، حاول رونالدو شراء الأراضي المجاورة للعقار لضمان الخصوصية، إلا أن المالكين رفضوا البيع.
مواصفات قصر الأحلام
ويضم القصر مسبحاً داخلياً وآخر خارجياً بمساحة تصل إلى 37 متراً مربعاً، يطل مباشرة على المحيط الأطلسي، كما يحتوي على سينما خاصة، وصالة رياضية متكاملة، ومرآب يتسع لنحو 20 سيارة، كما يتمتع العقار بإمكانية الوصول إلى شاطئ اصطناعي خاص.

The newspaper explained that Ronaldo acquired a plot of land measuring about 12,000 square meters in Cascais in 2020, and then embarked on a massive construction project to build the dream home. Over the past years, Ronaldo and Georgina faced several challenges, including changes in the construction team overseeing the project, as well as legal obstacles that forced them to reconsider some design details. Nevertheless, the investment exceeded all expectations.
Privacy Behind the Decision to Sell
However, these difficulties were not the main reason for the decision to sell the palace after its completion. The issue of privacy was at the forefront of the reasons, as the surrounding area did not meet Ronaldo and Georgina's expectations, with an increasing number of new residents and various luxury amenities available, in addition to some neighboring houses having direct views of the palace. According to Portuguese media, Ronaldo attempted to purchase the adjacent lands to ensure privacy, but the owners refused to sell.
Specifications of the Dream Palace
The palace features an indoor pool and an outdoor pool with an area of up to 37 square meters, directly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It also includes a private cinema, a fully equipped gym, and a garage that accommodates about 20 cars, as well as access to a private artificial beach.
