وافتتح الأخضر التسجيل عن طريق اللاعب عبدالعزيز العليوة في الدقيقة 51، في حين أحرز اللاعب ماجد عبدالله الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 56، فيما عاد اللاعب عبدالعزيز العليوة ليضيف الهدف الثالث للأخضر في الدقيقة 81، بينما سجل اللاعب ثامر الخيبري الهدف الرابع في الدقيقة 90+3، واختتم اللاعب عبدالله معتوق أهداف الأخضر بهدف في الدقيقة 90+5 من مجريات المباراة.
ودخل المدرب الإيطالي لويجي دي بياجو المباراة بقائمة مكونة من: حامد يوسف في حراسة المرمى، محمد عبدالرحمن، محمد الدوسري، عبدالرحمن العبيد، سليمان هزازي، فيصل الصبياني، عبدالملك العييري، راكان الغامدي، عبدالعزيز العليوة، ماجد عبدالله، عبدالله رديف.
