تعرضت سائحة لإصابة خطيرة إثر هجوم نمر ثلجي نادر في منطقة قرية تالات التابعة لمنتزه كيكيتوهاي الجيولوجي العالمي في مقاطعة فونيون شمال الصين، أثناء محاولتها التقاط صورة بالقرب من الحيوان، بحسب ما أفادت به السلطات المحلية وشهود عيان.
ووفقًا لما نقلته صحيفة «ديلي ميل»، وقعت الحادثة عندما اقتربت السائحة بشكل بالغ الخطورة من النمر الثلجي وسط الثلوج الكثيفة، في طريق عودتها إلى الفندق، متجاهلة المسافة الآمنة الموصى بها.
وأظهرت مقاطع فيديو متداولة لحظات حرجة للضحية، حيث بدت عالقة أسفل الحيوان قبل أن يتمكن عدد من المارة من التدخل لإنقاذها، فيما ظهرت وهي تمسك بوجهها الذي كان ينزف بغزارة.
وبحسب التقارير، لم تلتزم المتزلجة بالتحذيرات التي أصدرتها السلطات في اليوم السابق، عقب رصد النمر في المنطقة، إذ اقتربت منه لمسافة لا تتجاوز عشرة أقدام، ما أدى إلى هجوم مفاجئ أسفر عن تمزيق جزء من وجهها، قبل أن يتدخل مدرب تزلج ويبعد الحيوان باستخدام عصاه.
وساهمت خوذة التزلج التي كانت ترتديها السائحة في الحد من خطورة الإصابات، حيث نُقلت لاحقًا إلى أحد المستشفيات المحلية لتلقي العلاج، وأكدت الجهات الطبية أن حالتها مستقرة.
من جانبه، أفاد صاحب أحد الفنادق المحلية بأن النمر الثلجي شوهد في الليلة السابقة على بعد عدة كيلومترات من موقع الهجوم، مرجحًا أنه كان يبحث عن الغذاء في منطقة عشبية قريبة، دون تأكيد ما إذا كان الحيوان نفسه المتورط في الاعتداء.
ودعت السلطات الصينية السكان والزوار إلى توخي أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر عند التواجد في المنطقة، وعدم مغادرة المركبات أو الاقتراب من النمور الثلجية، إضافة إلى تجنب المشي منفردين، مؤكدة أن هذه الحيوانات، رغم طبيعتها الخجولة، تُعد مفترسة وقوية عند الشعور بالتهديد.
A tourist sustained serious injuries following a rare snow leopard attack in the Talat village area of the Keketohai Global Geopark in Fuyun County, northern China, while attempting to take a picture near the animal, according to local authorities and eyewitnesses.
According to the Daily Mail, the incident occurred when the tourist dangerously approached the snow leopard amidst heavy snowfall on her way back to the hotel, ignoring the recommended safe distance.
Videos circulating showed critical moments for the victim, as she appeared to be trapped beneath the animal before several passersby intervened to rescue her, while she was seen holding her face, which was bleeding profusely.
Reports indicate that the skier did not heed the warnings issued by authorities the day before, after the leopard was spotted in the area, as she approached to within ten feet of it, leading to a sudden attack that resulted in part of her face being torn off, before a ski instructor intervened and pushed the animal away with his pole.
The ski helmet the tourist was wearing helped mitigate the severity of her injuries, as she was later transported to a local hospital for treatment, with medical officials confirming that her condition is stable.
For his part, the owner of a local hotel reported that the snow leopard had been seen the night before several kilometers from the attack site, suggesting it was searching for food in a nearby grassy area, without confirming whether it was the same animal involved in the assault.
Chinese authorities have urged residents and visitors to exercise the utmost caution when in the area, not to leave their vehicles or approach snow leopards, and to avoid walking alone, emphasizing that these animals, despite their shy nature, are predatory and powerful when feeling threatened.
