يسعى مدرب المنتخب السعودي رينارد لاستغلال فترة توقف المنافسات الكروية بسبب أيام الفيفا التي ستبدأ (الإثنين) العاشر من نوفمبر، وحتى (الثلاثاء) 18 من الشهر ذاته، من أجل رسم خارطة «الأخضر» التي سيخوض بها مباريات كأس العرب «فيفا» والتي تستضيفها العاصمة القطرية الدوحة خلال الفترة (الإثنين) الأول ديسمبر وحتى (الخميس) 18 من الشهر نفسه.
وسيخوض المنتخب السعودي مباراتين وديتين خلال فترة التوقف القادمة بسبب أيام «الفيفا»، وسيتم الإعلان عن الأسماء التي ستدخل معسكر «الأخضر» نهاية الأسبوع القادم.
وكان رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم ياسر المسحل أكد مشاركة المنتخب السعودي الأول في بطولة كأس العرب 2025، مبينا أن «الأخضر» سيشارك بكامل نجومه بقيادة المدرب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد، وذلك عقب تأهل المنتخب السعودي إلى كأس العالم 2026.
هذا ويتواجد المنتخب السعودي في كأس العرب «فيفا» بالمجموعة الثانية إلى جانب منتخبات، المغرب، وعمان أو الصومال، واليمن أو جزر القمر.
ومن المقرر توقف منافسات دوري روشن السعودي خلال فترة كأس العرب، نظراً لمشاركة المنتخب السعودي في البطولة، وتعد بطولة كأس العرب بالنسبة للمدرب رينارد فرصة للإعداد المناسب قبل خوض كأس العالم 2026،
يذكر أن المدرب رينارد قاد المنتخب السعودي في فترتين، (الأولى) من يوليو 2019 حتى مارس 2023، و(الثانية) منذ أكتوبر 2024، ويرتبط رينارد بعقد مع الاتحاد السعودي حتى نهائيات كأس آسيا 2027، التي تستضيفها السعودية.

The coach of the Saudi national team, Renard, is looking to take advantage of the break in football competitions due to the FIFA days that will start on (Monday) November 10, and continue until (Tuesday) the 18th of the same month, in order to outline the plan for the "Green" team as they prepare for the Arab Cup "FIFA," which will be hosted in the Qatari capital, Doha, from (Monday) December 1 to (Thursday) the 18th of the same month.
The Saudi national team will play two friendly matches during the upcoming break due to the "FIFA" days, and the names of the players who will join the "Green" camp will be announced at the end of next week.
The President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mishal, confirmed the participation of the Saudi national team in the 2025 Arab Cup, indicating that the "Green" team will participate with all its stars under the leadership of French coach Hervé Renard, following the Saudi team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Moreover, the Saudi national team is placed in Group B of the Arab Cup "FIFA," alongside the teams of Morocco, Oman or Somalia, and Yemen or Comoros.
It is scheduled for the Roshan Saudi League competitions to pause during the Arab Cup period, due to the Saudi national team's participation in the tournament. The Arab Cup is seen by coach Renard as an opportunity for proper preparation before the 2026 World Cup.
It is worth mentioning that coach Renard has led the Saudi national team during two periods: the first from July 2019 to March 2023, and the second since October 2024. Renard is contracted with the Saudi Federation until the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
