تحتضن العاصمة السعودية الرياض الجولة الختامية لبطولة لونجين العالمية لقفز الحواجز 2025، في الـ30 من أكتوبر الجاري، ولمدة 3 أيام.
وتتميز جولة الرياض الأخيرة بأنها تحدد بطل جولة الرياض وبطل جميع الجولات على مستوى الفردي والفرق خلال المنافسات التي ستقام على الميدان المشيد مقابل مركز الملك عبدالله المالي «كافد»، إذ يشهد اليوم الأول في البطولة إقامة نهائي الفرق في دوري الأبطال العالمي لقفز الحواجز، فيما تقام في اليوم الثاني منافسات الفردي، على أن يشهد اليوم الأخير نهائي الفردي.
وتُعد جولات «لونجين» سلسلة من المنافسات الدولية المرموقة لقفز الحواجز لفئة الـ5 نجوم، والتي انطلق موسمها الحالي من الدوحة في الأول من مارس الماضي. ومرت تصفيات 2025، وقبل «جولة الرياض» عبر 3 قارات، 12 دولة، 15 مدينة، ورصدت لها جوائز مالية بأكثر من 36 مليون يورو (156.2 مليون ريال)، ومرت بمدن، الدوحة، مكسيكو، شنغهاي، مدريد، كان، راماتويل، سان تروبيه، لندن، فالكنسفارد، ريزنبيك، نيويورك، فيينا، روما، والرباط.
وسيشهد مقر البطولة خلال الأيام الثلاثة، فعاليات مصاحبة للزوار في منطقة الفعاليات، إذ تضم المنطقة المخصصة العديد من المطاعم، الجلسات العائلية المظللة، متاجر التسوق، مواقع ترفيهية مجانية للأطفال، إضافة لتوفر كامل الخدمات العامة.
من جهته، أكد رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للفروسية الأمير عبدالله بن فهد أن دعم القيادة الرشيدة المستمر للقطاع الرياضي عزز مكانتها كواحدة من أبرز الوجهات العالمية في مجال الرياضة، وذلك من خلال استضافة مجموعة من الفعاليات الرياضية الكبرى، وقال: «استضافة الرياض للجولة الأخيرة من بطولة لونجين العالمية لقفز الحواجز والتي تعد من أهم وأقوى بطولات قفز الحواجز في العالم تأتي امتدادا لدعم القيادة الرشيدة، ومتابعة مباشرة من وزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، ونحن في الاتحاد السعودي للفروسية مستعدون لتكرار نجاحات المملكة في تقديم نسخة تليق بالحدث، إذ تضم «جولة الرياض» أفضل الفرسان العالميين المصنفين وأفضل الجياد، وتحظى باهتمام كبير عالميا كونها الجولة الختامية بعد 15 جولة حول العالم».
The Saudi capital, Riyadh, is hosting the final round of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2025, on October 30th, for a duration of 3 days.
The final round in Riyadh is distinguished by determining the champion of the Riyadh round and the champion of all rounds at both the individual and team levels during the competitions that will take place in the arena built opposite the King Abdullah Financial Center (KAFD). The first day of the championship will feature the finals for teams in the Global Champions League, while the second day will host the individual competitions, culminating in the individual finals on the last day.
The Longines rounds are a series of prestigious international competitions for show jumping in the 5-star category, with the current season having started in Doha on March 1st. The qualifiers for 2025 have passed through 3 continents, 12 countries, and 15 cities, with total prize money exceeding 36 million euros (156.2 million riyals). The tour has taken place in cities including Doha, Mexico City, Shanghai, Madrid, Cannes, Ramatuelle, Saint-Tropez, London, Valkenswaard, Riesenbeck, New York, Vienna, Rome, and Rabat.
During the three days of the championship, the venue will host accompanying activities for visitors in the event area, which includes many restaurants, shaded family seating areas, shopping stores, free entertainment spots for children, in addition to full public services.
For his part, the President of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, Prince Abdullah bin Fahd, confirmed that the continuous support from the wise leadership for the sports sector has enhanced its status as one of the leading global destinations in the field of sports, through hosting a series of major sporting events. He stated: "Riyadh's hosting of the final round of the Longines Global Champions Tour, which is considered one of the most important and strongest show jumping championships in the world, comes as an extension of the support from the wise leadership, with direct follow-up from the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal. We at the Saudi Equestrian Federation are ready to replicate the Kingdom's successes in presenting an edition worthy of the event, as the 'Riyadh Round' includes the best-ranked international riders and the finest horses, and it receives significant global attention as it is the final round after 15 rounds around the world."
