اتخذ نادي السد القطري قراراً جريئاً قبل مواجهته أمام مضيفه الهلال في الجولة الثالثة لدوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، إذ أعلنت إدارة النادي القطري اليوم الأربعاء أنها توصّلت إلى اتفاق ودي مع المدرب فيليكس سانشيز لإنهاء عقده بالتراضي بين الطرفين.
وكان المدرب الإسباني سانشيز قد تولّى قيادة الفريق في يوليو 2024، بعد أن أشرف سابقاً على تدريب منتخب قطر.
وجاء في بيان النادي: اتفقت إدارة النادي والمدرب فيليكس سانشيز على إنهاء العقد بالتراضي بين الطرفين، واعتباراً من اليوم سيتولى المدرب المساعد سيرجيو أليغري مسؤولية تدريب الفريق إلى حين تعيين مدرب جديد.
ورغم نجاح سانشيز في قيادة السد لتحقيق ثنائية دوري نجوم قطر وكأس قطر في موسم 2024-2025، فإن رحيله جاء بعد بداية صعبة للموسم الحالي، حيث يحتل الفريق – صاحب 18 لقباً في الدوري – مركزاً وسطا جدول الترتيب بعد أن فاز في مباراتين فقط من أصل 6 مواجهات خاضها حتى الآن.
كما امتدت معاناة السد إلى الساحة القارية، إذ يحتل الفريق المركز السابع في دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة 2025-2026 – مرحلة الدوري لمنطقة الغرب، بعد تعادله مع الشرطة العراقي والشارقة الإماراتي، وهما نتيجة زادت من صعوبة موقفه في المجموعة.
ويستعد السد لمواجهة قوية في الجولة الثالثة، حين يحلّ ضيفاً على نادي الهلال السعودي متصدّر ترتيب الغرب بالعلامة الكاملة برصيد 6 نقاط.

The Qatari club Al-Sadd has made a bold decision ahead of its match against host Al-Hilal in the third round of the AFC Champions League, as the club's management announced today, Wednesday, that it has reached an amicable agreement with coach Felix Sanchez to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
Spanish coach Sanchez took charge of the team in July 2024, after previously overseeing the Qatar national team.
The club's statement read: "The club management and coach Felix Sanchez have agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent, and as of today, assistant coach Sergio Allegri will take over the team's training until a new coach is appointed."
Despite Sanchez's success in leading Al-Sadd to achieve a double of the Qatari Stars League and the Qatar Cup in the 2024-2025 season, his departure came after a difficult start to the current season, as the team – which has 18 league titles – is currently in a mid-table position after winning only two of the six matches played so far.
Al-Sadd's struggles have also extended to the continental arena, as the team is in seventh place in the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League – Western Region league stage, after drawing with Iraq's Al-Shorta and UAE's Sharjah, results that have made its position in the group more difficult.
Al-Sadd is preparing for a tough match in the third round, as it visits Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal, which is at the top of the Western standings with a perfect score of 6 points.
