The Saudi national team succeeded in reaching the World Cup for the seventh time and the third consecutive time in the history of Saudi football, when it qualified for the 2026 World Cup in (the United States, Mexico, and Canada),
and the arrival of the "Green" to the upcoming World Cup came with the unlimited support from the wise leadership, which was keen to provide all the resources necessary for our national team to participate in the upcoming World Cup, alongside the attention and follow-up from the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, and the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, who were present with the Saudi team and closely monitored the details during the Asian qualifiers, creating the right atmosphere for the Green players who succeeded in qualifying for the next World Cup.
Our national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup marks the second time since Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal took over the Ministry of Sports in December 2018, and Yasser Al-Mashal assumed the presidency of the Saudi Football Federation in July 2019, with the first qualification being for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The sports fans celebrated greatly with the Saudi national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup across all regions of the Kingdom, and the supporters of the Green, Jamil Al-Busairi and Badr Al-Sharmani, expressed their immense happiness with the achievement of the Green in qualifying for the World Cup for the seventh time and the third consecutive time.
