أعرب البرازيلي خوسيه إلتون، نجم النصر السابق، عن سعادته الكبيرة بتأهل الأخضر إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2026، مؤكداً رغبته في الحصول على الجنسية السعودية، في ظل حبه العميق للمملكة.
وكان المنتخب السعودي قد تأهل إلى المونديال للمرة السابعة في تاريخه، بعد تعادله السلبي مع نظيره العراقي، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على استاد الإنماء بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، مساء أمس (الثلاثاء)، ليعتلي صدارة ترتيب المجموعة الثانية برصيد 4 نقاط، متقدماً بفارق الأهداف المُسجلة على العراق.

وقال إلتون في تصريحات خاصة إلى «عكاظ»: «أنا سعيد للغاية بتأهل السعودية إلى كأس العالم، مبروك لكل الجماهير التي ملأت الملعب، ولكل من شجع من المنزل».
الجنسية السعودية «حلم»
وأضاف: «أحلم بالحصول على الجنسية السعودية، فهذا البلد يعني لي الكثير.. الحب والمودة والاحترام والامتنان».
وخاض إلتون –الذي اعتزل كرة القدم عام 2021 – أربع تجارب في الدوري السعودي، مع أندية النصر والفتح والقادسية والوحدة.
