راقب مدرب الاتحاد لوران بلان مباريات الفريق النصراوي خلال المعسكر الإعدادي «الأوروبي»، وركز على نقاط الضعف التي يمكن استغلالها في مواجهة «الكلاسيكو» التي ستجمع النصر والاتحاد الثلاثاء 19 أغسطس الجاري، الساعة 3:00 عصراً على استاد هونغ كونغ الدولي، ضمن دور نصف النهائي بكأس السوبر السعودي.
من جانب آخر، يستأنف الفريق الاتحادي تدريباته بمقر النادي بجدة، ضمن المرحلة الأخيرة من البرنامج استعداداً للمواجهة الحاسمة أمام فريق النصر في دور الأربعة بكأس السوبر السعودي، وذلك بعد الراحة التي منحها المدرب لوران بلان للاعبين لمدة 5 أيام بدءا من يوم الخميس الماضي، عقب نهاية المعسكر «الأوروبي» الذي كان على مرحلتين في مدينتي جيرونا الإسبانية والغارف البرتغالية. وخاض العميد 5 مباريات ودية، بداية بمواجهة فنربخشة التركي التي خسرها 4/0، والثانية أمام فيتوريا غماريش البرتغالي وخسرها 3/1، والثالثة ضد فولهام الإنجليزي وخسرها 4/1، والرابعة أمام بورتيمونينسي البرتغالي وخسرها 2/1، والخامسة ضد أونياو ليريا وانتصر بنتيجة 5-1، وحصد الاتحاد كأس UDL الدولية.
ويستعد المدرب بلان لتجهيز فريق الاتحاد لبطولات الموسم الرياضي الجديد؛ محلياً «كأس السوبر، ودوري روشن، وكأس الملك»، وقارياً «دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة».

This follows the 5-day break granted by coach Laurent Blanc to the players starting last Thursday, after the conclusion of the "European" camp, which took place in two stages in the Spanish city of Girona and the Portuguese Algarve. The team played 5 friendly matches, starting with a match against Turkish Fenerbahçe, which they lost 4-0, the second against Portuguese Vitória Guimarães, which they lost 3-1, the third against English Fulham, which they lost 4-1, the fourth against Portuguese Portimonense, which they lost 2-1, and the fifth against União de Leiria, which they won 5-1, earning the UDL International Cup.
Coach Blanc is preparing the Al-Ittihad team for the upcoming season's tournaments; domestically for the "Super Cup, Roshan League, and King’s Cup," and regionally for the "AFC Champions League."
