أنعشت إدارة الوحدة الحالية خزينة النادي بمبلغ 50 مليون ريال جراء بيع عقود الثنائي عبدالعزيز نور، وعلاء حجي لنادي نيوم، وكانت «عكاظ» تميزت بخبر بيع عقدي اللاعبين لصالح نادي نيوم.
من جانب آخر، قامت الإدارة الوحداوية ببيع المدة المتبقية من عقد مدافع الفريق الكروي الأول علي مكي لنادي الشباب.
وتهدف الإدارة الوحداوية من بيع عقود اللاعبين لفك الضائقة المالية التي تعصف بالنادي من أجل إغلاق ملف الشكاوى الخارجية ورفع قرار المنع من التعاقد مع لاعبين أجانب ومحليين، وكانت إدارة النادي في وقت سابق أنهت عقود جميع اللاعبين الأجانب الذين كانوا في قائمة الفريق في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، إلى جانب عدم تجديد إعارات بعض اللاعبين المحليين أمثال: عبدالله العويشير، ومشعل العلايلي، وحسين العيسى، وعدم تجديد عقد قائد الفريق وليد باخشوين الأمر الذي يفرض على إدارة النادي بناء فريق جديد.
من جهة أخرى اختار الجهاز الإداري تركيا لإقامة معسكر الفريق من 6 – 23 أغسطس القادم، على أن يكون تجمع اللاعبين يوم 3 من الشهر ذاته في مقر النادي بمكة المكرمة لإجراء الفحوصات الطبية اللازمة.

Earlier, the club's management had terminated the contracts of all foreign players who were on the team list in the Saudi Pro League, in addition to not renewing the loans of some local players such as Abdullah Al-Owaisheer, Mishaal Al-Alayli, and Hussein Al-Eissa, and not renewing the contract of team captain Walid Bakshwain, which imposes on the club's management the necessity to build a new team.
On another front, the administrative staff has chosen Turkey to host the team's training camp from August 6 to 23, with the players gathering on the 3rd of the same month at the club's headquarters in Mecca to undergo the necessary medical examinations.
