The Saudi national team coach Hervé Renard is expected to announce the list of the "Green" team that will compete in the matches against Bahrain and Australia as part of the ninth and tenth rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup this week.

The Green Falcons' training camp will start in the city of Khobar on Tuesday, May 27, and will continue until June 3 in preparation for the match against Bahrain on Thursday, June 5, at the Bahrain International Stadium in Riffa, and then return to Jeddah to prepare for the match against Australia on Tuesday, June 10, at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.

During their camp in Khobar, the Green team will hold a closed friendly training match against the Jordan national team, which will take place in the afternoon on May 30 at the Ego Stadium of Al-Ettifaq Club.

All players are scheduled to join the Green camp except for the players from the Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadisiyah teams, who will join the camp immediately after finishing their participation with their clubs following the King’s Cup final.

It is worth noting that the Saudi national team is currently in third place in Group C with 10 points, 3 points behind the second-placed Australia team. The Green team needs to win in the remaining two matches against Bahrain and Australia to secure direct qualification for the World Cup alongside the leading team, Japan.
