تنطلق عند الخامسة والنصف من مساء اليوم (السبت) منافسات الدور نصف النهائي من بطولة رابطة المقاتلين المحترفين في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا (PFL MENA)، بصالة المملكة ذا أرينا بالرياض، وسط حضور جماهيري مرتقب ومشاركة سعودية قوية.
ويخوض المقاتل السعودي مالك باسهل نزالاً في وزن الذبابة أمام المصري أحمد مصطفى، فيما يشارك مواطنه عبدالعزيز بن معمر في نزال استعراضي في الوزن المفتوح أمام المصري حسن أحمد مصطفى، ليؤكد حضور المملكة على الساحة الإقليمية.
ويتصدر البطولة النزال الرئيسي لوزن الويلتر بين الكويتي محمد الأقرع، وصيف نسخة 2024، والمصري أيمن جلال الملقب بـ«المايسترو»، في صراع على بطاقة التأهل للنهائي، بينما يلتقي الإيراني محسن صيفي، بطل نسخة 2024، مع العراقي محمد فهمي في النزال الرئيسي المشترك للوزن الخفيف.
وتتضمن البطاقة مواجهات قوية في باقي الأوزان، حيث يلتقي المغربي زافير علوي بالمصري إسلام يوسف في وزن البانتام، والجزائري صلاح الدين هاملي بمواطنه سهيل ثائري في الوزن الخفيف، والمصري إسلام رضا بالجزائري طه بن داود في وزن الريشة.
وفي وزن الويلتر يواجه المغربي بدر الدين دياني الإيراني أمير فازلي، ويلعب الأردني نورس أبزاخ أمام الجزائري مختار بن قاسي، بينما يلتقي الفرنسي يانيس غموري بالأردني عز الدين الديرباني بعد أن حل الأخير بديلاً عن عاصم غانم.
وكان جميع المقاتلين قد اجتازوا مرحلة الميزان أمس (الجمعة) بنجاح، باستثناء الجزائري إبراهيم جلابي الذي تعرض لوعكة صحية، ليتم إلغاء نزاله أمام البحريني حمد مرهون.

The semi-final matches of the Professional Fighters League in the Middle East and North Africa (PFL MENA) will kick off today (Saturday) at 5:30 PM at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, amidst an anticipated audience and strong Saudi participation.
The Saudi fighter Malik Basahl will compete in a flyweight match against the Egyptian Ahmed Mustafa, while his compatriot Abdulaziz bin Maamar will participate in an exhibition match in the open weight category against the Egyptian Hassan Ahmed Mustafa, confirming the Kingdom's presence on the regional stage.
The championship is headlined by the main welterweight bout between the Kuwaiti Mohamed Al-Aqra, the runner-up of the 2024 edition, and the Egyptian Ayman Galal, nicknamed "The Maestro," in a battle for a ticket to the finals, while the Iranian Mohsen Saifi, the champion of the 2024 edition, faces the Iraqi Mohamed Fahmy in the co-main event for the lightweight category.
The card includes strong matchups in other weight classes, with the Moroccan Zafir Alawi facing the Egyptian Islam Youssef in the bantamweight division, the Algerian Salah Eddine Hamli competing against his compatriot Suhail Thaeri in the lightweight division, and the Egyptian Islam Reda taking on the Algerian Taha Ben Daoud in the featherweight category.
In the welterweight division, the Moroccan Badr Eddine Diani faces the Iranian Amir Fazli, and the Jordanian Nours Abzakh plays against the Algerian Mokhtar Ben Qasi, while the French Yanis Ghamouri meets the Jordanian Ezzedine Al-Dairbani after the latter stepped in as a replacement for Assem Ghanem.
All fighters successfully passed the weigh-in stage yesterday (Friday), except for the Algerian Ibrahim Jalabi, who suffered a health issue, leading to the cancellation of his match against the Bahraini Hamad Marhoon.
