انتزع ليفربول فوزاً صعباً من مضيفه سندرلاند بهدف دون رد، في المباراة التي أقيمت أمس (الأربعاء)، على ملعب «النور»، ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ26 من مسابقة الدوري الإنجليزي (بريميرليغ).
وكان ليفربول قد خسر أمام مانشستر سيتي بهدفين مقابل هدف في المباراة الماضية، لكن فوزه أمس أنعش آماله في المنافسة على المراكز المؤهلة إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا.
جاء هدف ليفربول والمباراة الوحيد في الدقيقة 61، بعد ركلة من الجبهة اليمنى نفذها النجم المصري محمد صلاح داخل منطقة الجزاء، ليقابلها المدافع الهولندي فيرجيل فان دايك برأسية في الشباك.

بهذا الانتصار، رفع ليفربول رصيده إلى 42 نقطة في المركز السادس، بينما تجمد رصيد سندرلاند عند 36 نقطة في المركز الـ11 بعد تلقيه الهزيمة الثانية على التوالي والثامنة هذا الموسم.

Liverpool had lost to Manchester City by two goals to one in the previous match, but their victory yesterday revived their hopes of competing for the Champions League qualifying spots.
The only goal of the match came in the 61st minute, after a free kick from the right flank executed by the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah inside the penalty area, which was met by Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk with a header into the net.
