شهدت المباراة عودة النجم المصري محمد صلاح إلى التشكيلة الأساسية لليفربول، للمرة الأولى منذ نوفمبر الماضي، بينما شارك جو غوميز في قلب الدفاع، في ظل غياب إبراهيما كوناتي بسبب ظروف شخصية.
أنهى ليفربول الشوط الأول متقدماً بهدف دون رد، سجله الدولي المجري دومينيك سوبوسلاي في الدقيقة 45+1.
خطأ يزيد معاناة مارسيليا
وفي الشوط الثاني، واصل ليفربول ضغطه، ليُسجل حارس مرمى مارسيليا جيرونيمو رولي هدفاً بالخطأ في مرماه في الدقيقة 72، ما زاد من معاناة أصحاب الأرض.
وقبل صافرة النهاية، اختتم الهولندي كودي غاكبو ثلاثية «الريدز» بإحرازه هدفاً في الدقيقة 90+3، مؤكداً تفوق الفريق الضيف.

بهذا الفوز، رفع ليفربول رصيده إلى 15 نقطة، ليحتل المركز الرابع، ويقترب خطوة كبيرة من التأهل المباشر إلى دور الـ16.
في المقابل، تجمد رصيد أولمبيك مارسيليا عند 9 نقاط، ليتراجع إلى المركز الـ19 في جدول الترتيب.
