يعتزم الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم إطلاق بطولة دوري الأمم الآسيوية، ضمن استراتيجيته لدعم النمو المستدام وتحسين روزنامة المنتخبات الوطنية في القارة.
التفاصيل قيد الدراسة
وأوضح الاتحاد الآسيوي، في بيان نشره عبر موقعه الإلكتروني، أن مزيداً من التفاصيل المتعلقة بنظام بطولة دوري الأمم الآسيوية، والجدول الزمني، وآليات التطبيق سيتم بحثها من خلال اللجان المختصة داخل الاتحاد، إلى جانب إجراء مشاورات مع مختلف الأطراف المعنية، على أن يتم الإعلان عنها في الوقت المناسب.
خطوة مهمة للتطوير
من جانبه، قال الأمين العام للاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم داتوك سري ويندسور جون إن «دوري الأمم الآسيوي يمثل خطوة مهمة إلى الأمام، في إطار التزامنا المستمر بدعم تطوير الاتحادات الأعضاء البالغ عددها 47 اتحاداً».
استقرار الروزنامة وتقليل التحديات
وأضاف: «من خلال توفير منصة تنافسية منظمة خلال نوافذ المباريات الدولية، وبدرجة أكبر من الاستقرار في الروزنامة، إلى جانب حوافز رياضية واضحة، نهدف إلى ضمان خوض المنتخبات مباريات عالية الجودة بشكل منتظم، مع معالجة التحديات اللوجستية وتكاليف السفر التي تواجهها المنتخبات الوطنية».
اهتمام تجاري وإعلامي
وأشار ويندسور جون إلى أن البطولة تحظى أيضاً باهتمام متزايد من الشركاء التجاريين، قائلاً: «إلى جانب الفوائد الرياضية، شهدنا طلباً متزايداً من شركائنا التجاريين ببطولة تُقام بنظام دوري الأمم، ما يعكس جاذبيتها لدى الجماهير ووسائل الإعلام وأصحاب المصلحة، وقدرتها على تقديم منتج كروي دولي أكثر تشويقاً وقابلية للتسويق».
The Asian Football Confederation intends to launch the Asian Nations League as part of its strategy to support sustainable growth and improve the national teams' calendar on the continent.
Details Under Study
The Asian Confederation clarified in a statement published on its website that further details regarding the format of the Asian Nations League, the schedule, and implementation mechanisms will be discussed through the relevant committees within the confederation, along with consultations with various stakeholders, and that these will be announced in due course.
An Important Step for Development
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Asian Football Confederation, Dato' Sri Windsor John, stated that "the Asian Nations League represents an important step forward in our ongoing commitment to support the development of our 47 member associations."
Stabilizing the Calendar and Reducing Challenges
He added, "By providing an organized competitive platform during international match windows, with a greater degree of stability in the calendar, along with clear sporting incentives, we aim to ensure that national teams regularly play high-quality matches while addressing the logistical challenges and travel costs faced by national teams."
Commercial and Media Interest
Windsor John noted that the tournament is also attracting increasing interest from commercial partners, saying, "In addition to the sporting benefits, we have seen a growing demand from our commercial partners for a league-style tournament, reflecting its appeal to fans, media, and stakeholders, and its ability to deliver a more exciting and marketable international football product."
