قاد المهاجم الإنجليزي هاري كين فريقه بايرن ميونيخ للفوز على ضيفه تشيلسي الإنجليزي (بطل مونديال الأندية) بثلاثة أهداف لهدف، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على ملعب إليانز أرينا ضمن لقاءات الجولة الأولى من دوري أبطال أوروبا.
وسجل ثلاثية البايرن لاعب تشيلسي تريفو شالوباه بالخطأ في مرماه (د:20) وهاري كين (هدفين د:27 من ركلة جزاء، 63)، بينما سجل هدف تشيلسي الوحيد كول بالمر (د:29).
شهد اللقاء سيطرة متبادلة، وتمكن بايرن ميونيخ من افتتاح التسجيل بعد مرور 20 دقيقة بعد أن انطلق مايكل أوليسيه بالكرة من الجهة اليمنى ولعبها عرضية أرضية اصطدمت بساق شالوباه وسكنت شباكه بالخطأ (د:20)، زاد هذا الهدف من ثقة بايرن ليتحصل على ركلة جزاء بعد مرور 5 دقائق فقط، إذ تعرض هاري كين للإعاقة من قبل كايسيدو ليتقدم لها كين ويسددها بنجاح (د:27).
بعد هذا الهدف احتاج تشيلسي إلى دقيقتين فقط ليستفيق ويقلص الفارق بعد مجهود رائع من كول بالمر الذي انطلق بالكرة من منتصف الملعب ليمررها إلى زميله جوستو الذي أعادها له، ليواجه بالمر المرمى الألماني ويسددها مباشرةً هدفاً لتشيلسي (د:29).
وفي الشوط الثاني سيطر بايرن ميونيخ على مجريات اللقاء وترجم سيطرته بتسجيل الهدف الثالث بعدما مرر جوستو كرة بالخطأ إلى الخلف، ليخطفها هاري كين ويسددها أرضية من داخل المنطقة سكنت الشباك هدفاً ثالثاً لبايرن (د:63)، وفي الدقائق الأخيرة من عمر اللقاء أحرز تشيلسي هدفاً عن طريق كول بالمر، ولكن بعد العودة لتقنية الفيديو تم إلغاؤه بداعي التسلل، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز بايرن ميونيخ بثلاثة أهداف لهدف.

The English striker Harry Kane led his team Bayern Munich to victory over their English guest Chelsea (the Club World Cup champion) with a score of three goals to one, in the match that took place at the Allianz Arena as part of the first round of the UEFA Champions League.
Bayern's three goals were scored by Chelsea player Trevoh Chalobah with an own goal (20'), and Harry Kane (two goals at 27' from a penalty, and 63'), while Chelsea's only goal was scored by Cole Palmer (29').
The match witnessed mutual control, and Bayern Munich was able to open the scoring after 20 minutes when Michael Oliseh launched the ball from the right side and delivered a low cross that hit Chalobah's leg and found its way into the net by mistake (20').
