انضم اللاعب الدولي الإكوادوري بييرو هينكابي لأرسنال الإنجليزي قادما من باير ليفركوزن الألماني على سبيل الإعارة لمدة موسم واحد، وسيرتدي اللاعب القميص رقم 5 وسينضم إلى زملائه الجدد بعد عودته من مهمته الدولية مع الإكوادور.
وأكد النادي الإنجليزي في بيان رسمي نشره عبر موقعه الرسمي تعاقده مع اللاعب لمدة موسم وتطرق في البيان إلى مسيرة اللاعب قائلا: «خاض المدافع البالغ من العمر 23 عاما أكثر من 100 مباراة مع ليفركوزن منذ انضمامه إليه في 2021، ولعب دورا رئيسيا في فوز الفريق بلقب الدوري الألماني في موسم 2023-2024، وقضى بييرو بداية مسيرته في الإكوادور، وتطور من خلال نظام الشباب في إنديبندينتي ديل فالي، حيث ظهر لأول مرة في الفريق الأول في سن 17 عاما. خلال فترة لعبه لكرة القدم في وطنه، قاد بييرو منتخب الإكوادور تحت 17 عاما وفاز أيضا بكأس ليبرتادوريس تحت 20 عاما في 2020، وانتقل المدافع المتعدد المواهب إلى الأرجنتين في 2020، حيث ترك انطباعا كبيرا خلال موسمه مع فريق تاليريس في الدوري الأرجنتيني، قبل أن يوقع مع ليفركوزن».
وتطرق البيان لمسيرة اللاعب الدولية: «على الصعيد الدولي، خاض بييرو 46 مباراة مع الإكوادور، وكان عضوا في منتخب بلاده في كأس العالم 2022 وكأس أمريكا الجنوبية في 2021 و2024».
وقال المدير الرياضي أندريا بيرتا: «نحن سعداء للغاية بإتمام صفقة استعارة بييرو هينكابي لهذا الموسم، بالرغم من أنه يبلغ من العمر 23 عاما فقط، إلا أن بييرو يتمتع بخبرة كبيرة، سواء في الدوري الألماني أو على المستوى الدولي. إنه مدافع ذكي يتمتع بقوة حقيقية وتعدد في الاستخدامات. كان أداؤه في السنوات الأخيرة مع النادي والمنتخب الوطني عالي الجودة بشكل مستمر، ونحن على ثقة من أن بييرو سيواصل نموه هذا الموسم وسيكون لاعبا مهما بالنسبة لنا».
فيما قال المدرب ميكيل أرتيتا: «نحن سعداء للغاية بانضمام بييرو هينكابي إلى النادي، بييرو يتمتع بوجود بدني حقيقي، وتعدد استخداماته ومرونته التكتيكية تمنحنا خيارات دفاعية إضافية قوية. إنه شخصية كبيرة، ويجمع بين الشباب والنضج بشكل جيد للغاية. سوف يجعل فريقنا أقوى وأكثر تنافسية مع استمرارنا في هذا الموسم، نرحب ببييرو وعائلته في أرسنال».

The Ecuadorian international player Piero Hincapié has joined English club Arsenal on loan from German club Bayer Leverkusen for one season. The player will wear the number 5 shirt and will join his new teammates after returning from his international duty with Ecuador.
The English club confirmed the player's signing for the season in an official statement published on its website, touching on the player's career by stating: "The 23-year-old defender has played over 100 matches with Leverkusen since joining in 2021, playing a key role in the team's victory in the Bundesliga title for the 2023-2024 season. Piero began his career in Ecuador, developing through the youth system at Independiente del Valle, where he made his first-team debut at the age of 17. During his time playing football in his home country, Piero captained the Ecuador U-17 team and also won the U-20 Copa Libertadores in 2020. The versatile defender moved to Argentina in 2020, where he made a significant impression during his season with Talleres in the Argentine league before signing with Leverkusen."
The statement also addressed the player's international career: "On the international stage, Piero has played 46 matches with Ecuador and was a member of his country's squad in the 2022 World Cup and the Copa América in 2021 and 2024."

Although he is only 23 years old, Piero has significant experience, both in the Bundesliga and at the international level. He is a smart defender with real strength and versatility.
