تُوج منتخب نيجيريا بلقب كأس أمم أفريقيا للسيدات للمرة العاشرة في تاريخه، بعد فوزه الدرامي على المغرب بنتيجة 3 - 2 في نهائي النسخة 13 بالرباط.
تقدم المنتخب المغربي بثنائية لغزلان شباك وسناء المسعودي في الشوط الأول، لكن نيجيريا قلبت النتيجة في الشوط الثاني بثلاثية عبر أوكورنكو وفلورنس وإيشيجيني، فيما أضاع المنتخب المغربي فرصة التتويج باللقب لأول مرة، ليخسر النهائي الثاني توالياً بعد هزيمته أمام جنوب أفريقيا في النسخة السابقة، وبذلك واصلت نيجيريا هيمنتها القارية بسجل مثالي في النهائيات دون أي خسارة.
