تحدث رئيس مجموعة الدراسات الفنية في الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم آرسين فينغر عن كثرة توقف المباريات في بطولة مونديال الاندية المُقامة حالياً في أمريكا نتيجة الطقس.
وشهدت المنافسات توقف مجريات 7 مباريات خلال إقامتها بسبب الطقس حيث تسبب في ذلك في إخلاء المدرجات على الفور وعدم العودة إلا بعد التأكد التام من تحسن الجو.
وتسبب ذلك الأمر في إثارة سخط الكثيرين وعلى رأسهم المدربون واللاعبون بخلاف المشجعين خاصة أن أمريكا ستستضيف كأس العالم نسخة 2026 للمنتخبات مع كندا والمكسيك.
ولكن فينغر قال في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة «ماركا» الإسبانية: «لا يوجد حل يُذكر لتلك المشكلة». وأضاف: «منذ اللحظة التي قرر فيها الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم فيفا، استضافة الولايات المتحدة كأس العالم، أصبح لذلك البلد قواعده الخاصة، وسلامة اللاعبين تأتي في المقام الأول».

The head of the Technical Study Group at FIFA, Arsène Wenger, spoke about the frequent stoppages in matches during the ongoing Club World Cup in America due to the weather.
There were interruptions in 7 matches during the competition because of the weather, which led to the immediate evacuation of the stands, with fans not returning until it was fully confirmed that the weather had improved.
This situation caused outrage among many, especially coaches and players, as well as fans, particularly since America will host the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico.
However, Wenger stated in comments published by the Spanish newspaper "Marca": "There is no real solution to this problem." He added: "From the moment FIFA decided to host the World Cup in the United States, that country has its own rules, and player safety comes first."
