ويسعى الأهلي، بقيادة مدربه المؤقت عماد النحاس، لمواصلة انتفاضته بتحقيق الفوز الثالث على التوالي، والدخول بقوة في دائرة المنافسة على المراكز الأولى، إذ يحتل حالياً المركز الثامن برصيد 12 نقطة، من 3 انتصارات و3 تعادلات وهزيمة واحدة.

الزمالك يطمح في تعزيز الصدارة
في المقابل، يطمح الزمالك بقيادة مدربه البلجيكي يانيك فيريرا إلى استعادة نغمة الانتصارات، بعد تعثره في الجولة الماضية أمام وادي دجلة بالتعادل 1-1، والسعي لتأكيد صدارته للدوري على حساب غريمه التقليدي.
ويتصدر الزمالك جدول ترتيب الدوري المصري برصيد 17 نقطة، متقدماً بفارق نقطتين عن أقرب ملاحقيه، المصري البورسعيدي ووادي دجلة.
