أعلن الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة اليد انتخاب الكويتي بدر الذياب رئيسا للاتحاد بالدورة الجديدة (2025 - 2029) بالتزكية.
ويشغل الذياب حالياً منصب نائب رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة اليد عن قارة آسيا، بالإضافة إلى كونه أمين الصندوق في الاتحاد الآسيوي.
ومن المقرر أن تُجرى انتخابات الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد الآسيوي خلال اجتماعها المقرر في ديسمبر القادم بالعاصمة المصرية القاهرة، لاختيار النائب الأول، وممثل الاتحاد الآسيوي في الاتحاد الدولي، إلى جانب أربعة نواب للرئيس، والأمين العام، وأمين الصندوق، وأربعة أعضاء في مجلس الإدارة، إضافة إلى العضو النسائي بالمجلس.
يُذكر أن أحمد الشعبي، رئيس الاتحاد القطري لكرة اليد، يشغل حالياً منصب نائب رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي في الدورة الحالية (2021 - 2025).

The Asian Handball Federation announced the election of Kuwaiti Badr Al-Dhiab as the president of the federation for the new term (2025 - 2029) by acclamation.
Al-Dhiab currently holds the position of Vice President of the International Handball Federation for Asia, in addition to being the Treasurer of the Asian Federation.
The elections for the General Assembly of the Asian Federation are scheduled to take place during its meeting in December in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to elect the First Vice President, the Asian Federation representative in the International Federation, along with four Vice Presidents, the Secretary General, the Treasurer, and four members of the Board of Directors, in addition to the female member of the council.
It is worth mentioning that Ahmed Al-Shaabi, the President of the Qatari Handball Federation, currently serves as the Vice President of the Asian Federation in the current term (2021 - 2025).
